Was this a mori-girl attempt? Kinda confused. If lolita meet, I'm wondering if people like this girl are perhaps admirers of the fashion but don't yet own any of the clothing and so pick out from their collection something that they think is the most fitting/j-fashionish. They tend to do that because they get super excited about feeling like they're participating in the fashion, a lot of us have 'been there'. I understand why people would get defensive if they came across a bunch of people saying stuff like 'look at this ugly bitch, she can't dress for shit and looks like she smells bad' or some other playground level stuff, but then there are people who offer really useful and constructive advice and they still can't handle it. It's the latter I find mildly frustrating but that's about the extent of it. Always a story CM, always. Kawaii Hitler-chan was posted to a thread in egl on livejournal in possibly 2005 but my memory is rusty as hell. If I remember rightly, the girl in question either shooped the image herself, or freely posted the image as a template for someone else to use. I think some newer lolitas forget sometimes that many people into lolita early on came to it from other fashion subcultures known for being at times kinda subversive, and in many ways 'non conformist' such as goths, punks etc. In the thread people were laughing and joking about the most preposterous lolita themes they could think of and someone suggested 'Hitler-loli' and thus the image was born. For the most part, people found it hilarious and too stupid to be offensive, it didn't really create any controversy, it just got shared around 'for the lolz' or whatever. In the new tumblr era however, I can't imagine it going down in the same way, and the sjw crowd would likely loose their shit..

As for the other girl, she posted her photoshoot images on egl and got the surprise of her life when people told her that it wasn't lolita. People were mostly polite at first but she was so defensive that egl lost patience with her and she ended up being posted to the drama/ita communities. She bought square dancing or similar dresses and called them lolita, insisted the style was 'her interpretation', and then started her own lj community for other lolitas to 'express themselves as they wished free from bitchiness' or something like that. Christ this was ages ago though, possibly 2005 as well.

I think a lot of it has to do with fursuits add a LOT of mass, and they go out of scale with clothing veeery quickly. I saw a fox lolita at AM2 in 2012 or so, she was cute, but again, out of scale - paws get way huge in comparison to arms and stuff. Anything with a snout looks weird. There's approximately two cute bunny lolita fursuiters out there. And there will always be issues, like how this bunny has faux fur coming out her shoes.

It's just too bad most of them are crappy fursuits with bad craftsmanship.

It's actually really annoying because brand dresses end up giving me like a chest pouch making my boobs like target practice. Classic brands that do S are usually fine but dear god some of the sweet dresses that have started going bigger are just huge on me.
