It does sound like you're trying to rub it in, or at least it sounds like you were socially awkward enough that your advice would come across as telling your friend she's stupid for overpaying, while at the same time trying to pressure her into making yet another purchase.

It's her money, I'm pretty sure she felt the sting when she saw that it was cheaper somewhere else. The first thing you should ask is try to figure out whether she can unspend the money, eg if the transaction can still be cancelled. If it cannot, the next thing you need to do is NOT make her feel like shit. Trust me, she's already feeling stupid overspending without you going on and on about it. Give her a positive outlook, eg, tell her "It's okay, at least you got the dress you love" or "We'll do better next time" or even just "wow, I really underestimated how much you love the dress". Then ask her how she'll coord it when it gets to her. Stop being so hung up over what she paid for the dress. If the money can't be unspent, at least make her feel happy about what she bought.

As for the tights. It's her purchase, it's her wardrobe, it's her money. You only need to tell her once that she can spend x amount to get the tights -- IF she wants to. If she doesn't, that's her decision, not yours. This is fashion, not the debate team. Don't badger her with a list of arguments on why YOU think completing a set is so important. She may even have originally wanted them, but girls change their minds about clothes all the time. Don't force her to go through with it just because she used to want it. Just let her know the tights are there and what is the deadline if she wants to buy them, tell her you'll help her out if she needs your help, then leave it at that.

Now, go send her a message and tell her that sometimes you're rude because you're socially awkward, then congratulate her on finding the dress she wanted. Good luck, anon. I hope you patch things up.

I wasn't trying to pressure her into buying the tights, I just knew she was having a hard time finding them so I just wanted to help her, I also didn't argue/ debate things with her so don't assume things (but I probably did push some salt into her wounds...) Anyways thanks for the advice and perspective because sometimes I can get wrapped up in something and forget the how the other party might feel. I'll keep this advice in mind in case another situation like this does pop up.

It's 12:46pm in Japan at the moment, and those items were up by at least 6:30pm last night, which is when I bought my stuff. Even at that time quite a few things were gone. Can anyone offer sizing help for AP's shoes? Japan's "M"s are so hit or miss for me. Sometimes they're just about right, other times they're fucking huge. I usually wear a US 6-6.5 (EU 36-37), and I'm not sure if I should go for the S or the M of these bad boys.

>> No.8074055

>>8074035
I don't know if this is helpful or not, but I think AP's shoes might run big. I know that the BTSSB shoes I have in LL always fit me right/near perfect (I have 8/8.5 sized feet). However when I tired on a pair of boots at the AP store in SF they were huge and the Ls fit me better, but the calf circumference was still too large so I passed on them. Again not sure if helpful, those shoes are cute btw

I wear a US 7 (UK 5, but in some places I'm a UK 4.5) and I find an AP M fits me about perfectly. Their flat shoes like teaparties seem to run bigger than their heels. I made the mistake of buying size L teaparties and they're like two sizes too big for me.

Just curious if anyone has an update on JetJ's unicorn dress situation. I returned mine and sent them the tracking number and the postage price twice to make sure they got it. They never responded about anything, like how they would compensate the postage even after the package was delivered. I'm not too worried yet though because I feel they might be overwhelmed by messages/ returns, and they said it would take like 45 days to fix originally. The lack of updates on their part does kind of bother me though.

On the topic of shoes, does anyone know how wide-fitting different brands' shoes are? I'm an EU 36/37, so I'd guess S would be okay in most brands, but my feet are pretty wide, and I'm worried that Asian shoes might be pretty narrow.

Ill put there here because people were asking about Woody Lolita a while back.
Its definitely not a scam.
I actually asked her/them to a few items from the same store she resells from and she happily did it. She also had a concern about the backing of one of the pins. It probably wouldve been cheaper to do it thought a SS but the price wasnt really bad 2-3 dollar mark up on $10 items (essentially domestic shipping), (i added up all items plus domestic to give a rough estimate of what she would charged. i thought shed charge about $73 and it ended up being $60) shes quick because i dont think her store gets a ton of traffic because no way of doing feedback and her english is pretty good. I haven't heard of anyone complaining as much as there was for celestial and cosmic, and AP just did a pre-order for celestial (they want to keep their brand image and stay on schedule with their factory and releases), so I don't think they will this time around.

Ive owned three swimmer bags. Two duffel bags and the biscuit bag with the long strap. >Biscut bag was awesome minus the fact it always flipped upside down and the colors are REALLY hard to match with almost any brown/pink
The duffell bags are really life savers for "holy shit i dont have room in my suitcase" Both times i came with just a check through and ended up bring the huge duffle as a carry on rather then just a small purse (and theyre only about $20-25)
Theyre great for sleep overs and carry ons but i made the mistake of checking one of them through then i was flying home from Japan. They obviously were really rough with the bag and it ripped the handle seem (luckily it had more then one layer of fabric)

The first Bag will probably last more so then the second (but beware the pleather will rub off after a few years)
Seeing as if you carry heavy things you probably wont be throwing it around but if you throw the bag with heavy/electronic things the 2nd bag is def prone to ripping like mine did.

Use methods of payment that protect you like PayPal. Don't be distrustful but make sure to be equally wary of people with good feedback, i.e. don't get taken advantage of just because you don't have any.

Pack your items properly too. Keep your packages compact and sturdy. Sometimes loose items (such as small rings in a large envelope, or a heavy dress where all the weight has been focused in one area of a package) can break out of a package during the shipping process. Get rid of hairs and lint.
