Game is giving me some huge Jet Set vibes and is super funky.

It's name is Morgana so presumably it's a her.
Meaning we probably won't get someone as awful as Teddie, so that's a relief. No sign of Marie Sue either, so I'm more than happy just with that.

The Junko Enoshima clone, I think her name was Anzu, pretty sure she'll get cosplayed to death before the game is even out (then again, it could still be a year or two before the game is even released....). The literal catsuit that she wears will likely become quite popular very fast.

I'm deadly excited, so many amazing things about this game so far. Just sad to know that we will get P4:DAN before this one after all, I know I was being too hopeful thinking that this would come first ever since DAN got delayed last time.

I didn't buy a 3DS for several reasons:

1)Spent it on a PS4 because of P5/Guilty Gear.

Oh joy, another masked character in a suit.

Brace yourselves for dorky, baggy getups made by people who won't understand "fit" in fashion even if you snapped tailor's tape in their face.

Same reason why cosplays of Tuxedo Kamen and Kaito Kid almost never come out well.

The men cosplaying the character will likely have bad or nonexistent tailoring in the suit. Which will be a shame, because a well-fitted suit on a guy can drop panties (but let's be honest, the guys interested in vidya games will likely be too lazy/cheap for this, and the presence of a mask IRL will decrease that "hot" effect very quickly).

Sure, women can crossplay as that character, and they may be able to bind their boobs so that they have a flat torso. But they will still be shorter on average, and when you examine the back, there will still be a round butt in men's pants. The fit there will make you think of mom jeans, instead of a lean male protagonist who you'd want to bang.

There's actually Yuko Nishiwaki from Persona 3. You could also do a suited Demonica outfit, any of the demons with body paint, and color alternates from Persona 4 Arena/Ultimax. Those are alternatives if you're a stickler for accuracy.

At a glance, his inner shirt looks like either an extremely close-fitting dress shirt made of multiple vertical panels or the lines can be topstitched on if you've got a very stable hand. The seam lines go all the way around the back of the shirt (normally hidden by the tailcoat).

Well, I'm gonna have to jump on the bandwagon for P5 mc cosplays because I've loved the design since seeing the first trailer. I already have some red/black plaid pants but they're more red than black so I'm still looking to see what I can do about that.

It's close but not perfect. It has pink in the mix (correct pattern is black base + thick red lines + thin secondary white lines). There are extra thin red/pink lines between each in "box" and too many white lines. The red lines need to be a bit wider/stronger as well.

Thanks, anon. Honestly, I don't think they'll be changing the designs that much, unless it's to touch up the plaid, since we've already seen the protagonist in both cutscenes and gameplay. If anything, I don't mind spending around $25 and getting more skilled at making pants. At least I know I've played enough megaten/persona where I won't regret cosplaying him before the game is actually out.

So embarrassed. I never watched the anime, but when I bought a wig for Rise I tried to hit a medium between the game and the anime. But since I hadn't watched the anime when I saw pictures I thought it was half-up half-down with pigtails. Ugh, should have just went with my gut and based it 100% on the game. I wanted to get the evoker water gun for my Minato cosplay but it's too difficult to (I'm in Australia)... I made a really crappy one in a couple of days last year (pic related) so my holster wouldn't be empty but goddamn it sucks so bad. I was still making it on the morning of the con and the sealing spray made the silver paint grey which did not help.

The holsters are pretty simple and can be made in a day, assuming you meant the boys' version.

Dengeki PlayStation and Famitsu Weekly Special Edition magazines coming out on Feb. 12 in Japan and both will carry a little more (full-body) art from the game, so it would be worth it to me to check those first before proceeding.

If you're still up for giving it a shot, the boys' version is quite simple and straightforward.

Decent off-white pleather can be found in the upholstery section, go for the type that retails for about ~$25-$35/yard since you will only need about 6 inches of it and it will hold up to wear and tear.

The basic structure of the belt holster (in the movie version at least) is a lot of rectangles. Cut 2 pieces of each (except for the skinny latch) to make up the front and back sides.

That's related to the main series because the mc from there is the mc from the Megami Tensei. It also has some elements from SMT III, i.e. Demi-fiend as a boss/mention but from what I remember Word of God hasn't confirmed both universes to be the same timeline I think.

Hell it's been a few years but I think all of the main SMT series are related, i.e. I, II, III, DDS, etc. I think only Devil survivor 1+2 are different not including Persona sub series.

Very, very little is confirmed at this point and it's all pure speculation from western fans. MC's Persona is hinted to be named "Arsene" so that is already not in line with the idea that the Personae are directly named for the deadly sins. The most solid thing you can say right now is that the game will have something to do with the 7 Deadly Sins, whether they be the theme of different Personae or Shadows/demons/boss characters, etc.

Spoonflower can be expensive. Their cheapest option is really basic broad cloth and that's usually maybe around $17-18 a yard. But what I will say is that the prints look really nice, I had something basic printed a while back and I was really happy with it.

Anyone have recs for a Rise wig? I bought a ponytail wig with a back part and dyed it to Rise's colour, but dying it seems to have a) killed the fiber quality and b) made it incredibly difficult to style. Try reconsidering the cosplay if the main thing fueling you is hype and you've already mentioned that you don't think a wig is necessary. The only thing you have going for you at this point is actually being male and not being fat (assuming you have the typical scrawny East Asian build). You'd be topped by other people easily and it'll suck to lose motivation to finish when you have a half-assed costume on your hands that you've already sunk money into.

I've been meaning to try cosplay as Raidou - what would be the best course of action for his hat?
I don't know if I have the technical skill to make the hat myself, so I've been browsing around on Amazon and eBay to try find a suitable hat that I could modify (strip off any pre-existing decorations, if any, then add that little silver disc to the front).
