I may just be ~priviledged~ but I work part-time at fluctuating hours at minimum wage and I walk away with average $650 per month. I live with my parents so they just ask for $150 per month to cover gas/electricity/groceries plus help with chores and I chip in with any extras we get (say we order a pizza as a treat). That still leaves me with around $500 per month to do as I will; I put some in savings, some on necessities and minor treats (like a day out with friends to the mall) and finally some in a 'treat' pot for lolita. If i want (not need) a new blouse/accessories the money comes out the treat pot. If it's not there, I don't buy it. Simple as. Same for brand releases. If there's a big release coming up, I try and save a bit extra in my treat pot to put towards it. My savings are being put towards getting my own place when I finally go to college as I took a year out for health reasons (I had ovarian cysts in my final year of school and took a gap year to recover from surgery but can still do menial tasks such as my desk job)
