manga studio. wow, it's seriously the best program. i've used photoshop and sai, and it's pretty much all i need from those programs plus things like a perspective ruler and built in speech bubbles. and only like $30!
i used the texture from here: http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?91173-Watercolors-simulation-in-Manga-Studio-5-and-Clip-Studio-Paint-Pro and set it to overlay. then i used the watercolor brushes with 50~% opacity. obviously downloading his brushes would be better.

Bodyline has some surprisingly nice blouses for under $30. That one in particular is sort of weird, it's long at the back and a bit short at the front. It's got a sort of butt-cape, and the front stops above my belly button. It looks silly on its own, or with the shorter vests I was trying to wear it with.

I can see how facial hair would be difficult to get across in that style. Your lineart is thick, so it would be awkward to work into the jawline and if you use lines, it'll look like shading.. but if you try stippling it would seem really out of place. It's perfect as is.

The context of your drawings are very cute. It seems that you are trying to get into more painting and textures.

I think you need to "render" the details a little more, They kind of look incomplete, specially the first one. Same with the lighting and values. You need to give those two things to make it look more complete.

For the noses, try to see them like the polygonal faces in 3d, use them as reference, they are very useful when it comes to learn the shape and the volume of the nose (and the face in general). Use those images and also real references and try to adapt these into your style.

I have personally learned most of anatomy by Loomis if you don't know him, maybe you should take a look, it's pretty cool.

I'm the anon who originally asked if you took crits, and what >>8346039 wrote was pretty much exactly what I wanted to say! The pictures seemed a little incomplete (for me, I felt like the 2nd pic was less complete), like you laid down the flats but didn't tighten up by adding details. Like the other anon wrote, going back and rendering more details will make your pictures look more polished! And when I say details, I don't mean draw every individual strand of hair, but rather, give more depth to your picture by adding shadow/highlights.

Pic is a quick example I did to demonstrate how just adding shadows makes your piece look more and more polished. Far left is the sketch, middle is taking that sketch and adding shadows, and right is adding even more depth by adding mid-level shadows. I doubt there's anyone that would look at these 3 images and think that the left picture looks more complete than the right.

As far as noses go, there's unfortunately no easy way to do it aside from just practicing a lot. Try drawing from references you find online, try drawing your nose in teh mirror, try drawing other people's noses, try all sorts of angles. Have fun with it - try drawing super long noses, really crooked ones, button-noses, etc. I hope this helps!
