Thinking about getting cosmetic surgery to look more kawaii in Lolita and cosplays clothes

I am currently filipino but want to change to a more japanese or Korean look.

>> No.8348766

If it makes you happy, then by all means go for it. Just remember it's a permanent change and you can't undo back to your original face when it happens.

Personally I have considered a nose job too but I have a phobia to any type of surgery (like intense fear of anything that cuts skin up, I don't even have my ears pierced) so I haven't done anything. Also you'll have to consider how people around you will react when it happens; unless you're brave and you don't care about social stigmas then you go girl, do it!

Also - you can use makeup to alter your face as a substitute to plastic surgery. I'm Chinese and if I slap on Japanese style makeup plus circle lenses it's easy to pass as kawaii uguu Lolita? I feel like it's easier for Asians to do it in general, including Filipinos (just need to do some nose countering + circle lense and eyelid glue). Some of my close friends here are from the Philippines and they pull off the look even better than I can!

>> No.8348790

>>8348694
Eh, if it's something you've always been insecure about do it. If it's just a passing phase... I wouldn't.

Personally, I'm considering a nose job but not for cosmetic reasons, however I WOULD like to lose the little bump on it and have it straightened out (deviated septum, my nose curves to one side and it's somewhat noticeable) as a bonus. Frankly, I don't give enough of a shit about it otherwise and find it a waste of time that usually does more harm than good.

>> No.8348810

>>8348790
Different anon, but i have the type of nose you described (i'm not sure about a deviated septum, but i know that it curves to the side) needless to say i really want to get it fixed.

Are curved noses a common thing? I thought i was weird for having one, luckily mine isn't crazy noticeable but its something my eye is always drawn to.

>> No.8348835

>>8348694
I've been thinking about it too. Mostly my eyelids, one is mono and one is double, makeup can only do so much.
But too pussy to go get it done because scared of fucking up my face.

>> No.8348841

>>8348810
Well it's a sign of having been broken at some point iirc, usually in childhood. I think it depends on the degree of the curve, mine is slightly noticeable irl and REALLY noticeable in pictures + I have a hump on it as well.

>> No.8348922

>>8348841
I've always wondered if I had a deviated septum. I've always had nose troubles but within the last few years it's become harder for me to breathe, and I've noticed a slight curve in my nose. Or more like, one side has been flattened?
I think it's due to my glasses - I also have a bump on my bridge from my glasses resting in one place for years and creating a dent. For a couple years I had a problem with falling asleep with my glasses still on, and I only really sleep on one side. I've heard that cartilage can be molded over time so I wonder if that's what I did unintentionally.
To keep OT I've always wanted rhinoplasty for my nose. I never really paid much attention to it until one day this random kid I didn't know started talking about my "huge Jew beak" and all of a sudden everybody would make sure to point it out. I even told my own mother I wished she had become a plastic surgeon so I could get it done for free. The only thing stopping me was the cost, and I even looked up if there was any way to cheat the system and get it covered by health care. I'm glad I was never able to though, because now that I'm an adult the rest of my face has grown to proportion with my nose and everything looks fine. I shudder to think what my 13-year-old self's idea of a kawaii uguu nose would look like on me now.

>> No.8348950

>>8348841
I'm not sure if i've ever had a broken nose before, though its quite possible seeing as i was dumb as shit as a kid.

>seriously thought it would be cool to watch a basketball fall from being thrown in the air

>GG 9 year old self

Sorry to hear yours is noticeable irl, that really blows.

same, though from looking at my tweenage pictures I seriously did look like an elderly Polish Jew's midget doppelgänger (curly red hair and all). Now I'm not as ugly, thank god. A lot of it has to do with having a childish face and thin mouth (as children do), combined with a big/long nose it looks really awkward. On adults in can even look pretty if you've got the face for it.

>> No.8349151

I'd love to get a nose job and do something about my square facial shape. I've always felt insecure about these but since I got into j-fashion it has just gotten worse, I can barely look myself in the mirror some days and I feel odd in my clothes because my face doesn't match

Get surgery if you want to OP but get a procedure to make you look like a prettier you, not just to look like a Japanese or a Korean. Say you want a korean v-line jaw or whatever (ignoring the fact that even many koreans don't have it- not naturally anyway), you have to ask yourself whether this will look good & balanced alongside the rest of your features and be really confident in your "yes" before you go through with it.

8349383

I have a mole on my chin. It's always been bothering me while cosplaying because the make up won't cover it. So lately I've been thinking about mole surgery...
Just a curious question if someone has done the same here and are the results good? I'm really afraid if the surgery just makes it worse since it's facial area.

>> No.8349385

>>8349285
Exactly.
My nose isn't ugly per se, but it looks so big in pictures and me not being photogenic in general doesn't help either. I got ONE good angle because of it... And my mouth look super small because of my facial shape. It's like each of every trait in my face aren't bad by themselves, but together it's really a hit or miss sometimes.

>> No.8349387

>>8349383
I had a mole on my top lip and my parents bought me to a doctor/specialist who lasered part of it off. I can't even remember the name cause I was still a child when it happened. But it fucking burns like hell, I nearly screamed the practice down.

It 'broke' the mole down so it's a lot lighter and faded now that I'm older, to the point where my foundation can cover it. But I didn't go back for another session because my parents were like welp sounds like she's in some horrific pain so I can't even tell you more about it.

>> No.8349388

>>8349383
I'm doing it in the autumn, because the doctor said it's not recommended to do it in the summer. If you want it biopsied it's gonna have to be surgically removed, at least it's what I've been told. People keep mentioning MOHS surgery and lasers but apparently my country doesn't do it and the only laser clinic scalps everyone because they can, so I'll take scars on my face over ugly moles.
You'd think tiny flat ones would be easier to remove, apparently not...

>> No.8349390

oh and for the 'but moles are cute' people... they're only cute if you are, else they just make you look even more stupid.

>> No.8349550

I don't know if it counts as cosmetic surgery, but I'd love to do something with my jaw and face shape in general. I'm fairly slim, with thigh gap and sticking out collar bones etc, but my face... it makes me look 20kg heavier and gives me terrible case of baby face. I'm 24, I want to look like an adult during job interview or exam and instead I hear 'Oh, I didn't know children are accepted to universities, hehe!' It would be much better if my face wasn't so round and fat. I already wear rather strong make up and contour the shit out of my jaw and non-existing cheek bones, but it only works to certain degree.

That being done, I'd love to take care of eyelids, which are so hooded, that they're near monolids territory.

I used to be obese, but even after losing a ton of weight and becoming a healthy weight for my height, I still have some tummy pudge that I can't seem to get rid of. That's the only thing I'd consider getting plastic surgery for. But I'd worry that I'd just gain the pudge back after a while anyway...

And I don't think it's worth the money. I'm not that insecure about it, and it's not noticeable if I'm wearing clothes that fit.

>> No.8349605

Is it flat or raised? I've had succesful removal of raised ones with liquid nitrogen. I got one surgically removed and they discovered I had a scarring condition (prone to keloids), so after the biopsy turned out fine on that first one, I got the other ones removed with LN. I have no experience with removal of flat moles, I actually like mine a lot.

I've gotten Restalyane a couple times and been pretty happy. Lasts about 9-12 months. There is about a week of swelling and bruising so be aware. You keep telling yourself that, every time people tease you and take the piss and reject you for x or y. You can be an amazing person but you'll still end up alone if nobody is attracted to you and I highly doubt that people can change THAT much and become literal Mother Theresa in order for someone to love them. Most people are somewhere in the 'okay' category personality-wise and if you try to be funny or whatever you'll mostly end up looking stupid instead. Not to mention that if they aren't attracted to you they won't be interested in getting to know you anyway, and not everyone can charm people with like 2 seconds of interaction.

Also it's a cold hard fact that most people saying 'luv urself' don't know what it's like and don't have that problem themselves. And if surgery will make them happier, why not? Within reason, of course, don't go full BDD.

I want to get breast implants.
nothing too big but I am so flat chested I don't need a bra. only reason to wear one is so my nipples don't poke through my shirt if I'm cold.

to fit into cute clothes I use crossdresser methods and wear 2 or sometimes 3 padded bras at once.

Going out swimming is a huge emberassment, so I just buy myself kids swimsuits.

If I was shorter people would probably assume that I was a kid but I'm a 5'11" girl and people question my gender constantly. even asking my mother. out of second hand emberassment in highschool she started getting me super pushup bras.

I was thinking about getting prosthetics to help it but why not just get surgery and not have to deal with this again.

>gender gets questioned constantly by rude strangers

>want to get implants to fix this

It's a shitty position to be in when people keep asking about your gender, but don't let that dictate your body.

If you really want the tits, get them. Plastic surgery has such a bad hype, but it's so common these days. Getting a slightly bigger set of buzungas doesn't seem like a big deal at all.

I know a handful of people who have got the procedure, and it seems like breast augmentation is a pretty easy in-out surgery these days.

I'm crazy scarred from acne, so I try to cosplay characters with masks or hidden faces. I won't say it's a brilliant technique, but it works well, and keeps me from worrying about someone taking a picture and seeing nothing but pizza-face.

Nose surgery is fucking painful in the healing process. If you do decide to get it, make sure when you save up money, you're also saving up enough to be out of work for a couple of weeks. Or just leave your nose, like I leave my face.

I'm an "unfortunate" looking person, but there's not a lot I can do about it. Dressing nice, having a nice haircut, and being the nicest person in the room has been the only reason I'm not quasi-modo hiding in a church-tower.

I had a girlfriend that looked like her breast were on the larger side, like a large C cup. She'd wear shirts that made them look big but when she took off her top I was totally confused, her tits were rather small. I inspected her bra and it was filled with water, all of her bras were padded in some form or another. She started to realize what I was doing and thought that I was materialistic. She believed I was checking to see if she wore brand name clothes but in actuality I was looking for her true size. She was an A cup

It was strange that initially she seemed to enjoy believing she was fooling me with her fake body and getting away with it. What a stupid girl

If you want to deceive people plastic surgery is going overboard imo, there's no need for it when there are so many products designed for that without the expensive surgery

I want a breast lift and augmentation. Speedy weight loss made my tits deflate and sag, and now I'm pregnant, so I gained a shit ton of weight again, a lot of which I will likely lose once I start breastfeeding. That's a lot of breast tissue damage. Of course, it will be a few years before I can start financing a cosmetic procedure.

I'd also love rhinoplasty. I doubt I'll be able to do both that and the tit improvements, though.

If I get my pre-pregnancy abs back, along with a tit job and maybe rhinoplasty, I plan on cosplaying Jeanette from VTM. And that's just to start. Of course it's only loosely cosplay related.

Absolutely. Especially when young, I didn't even know that I'd broken mine until I went to see an ORL and she said 'oh, you've got a deviated septum and there's signs of broken cartilage'. Now that I think back I can pinpoint exactly what'd caused it (falling on my face... from a low balcony) but I was raised in the sticks where any injury is treated with 'eh, let's just dab some whiskey on it and see if it gets worse in the morning' so it's possible that nobody really knew about it.

You're partially right and at the same time totally right if they don't come clean
But you're deceiving pretty much everyone you meet because that isn't really the way you're meant to look, aside from the usual weight loss or weight gain, piercings, hair color and so on. It's deception on a deeper level. That's the way I see it anyway, there are exceptions with extreme cases, most of which are medical. This is my perspective and probably alot of other guys too, for the most part we live our lives the way we came in, the only thing you'll find on our faces is hair. Our experience with our looks molds us and gives each person a unique experience, whether it's considered favorable or not we take it and love ourselves for who we are, judge ourselves by our actions and character. There's more to life than the superficial, although you might not realize it by our comments we're alot less critical irl.

That ex's small breast wasn't really the issue.. it was her attitude. Her insecurity, that need to be dishonest about herself and using it as bait.

What's the way you're 'meant' to look then? And isn't surgery itself a unique experience that moulds us? I've had an appendectomy and now have a huge scar across my abdomen, was I MEANT to have it? Are people MEANT to have cancer too? If your face was mangled from birth and people recoil when they see you, would you not want to look normal? Are cleft palate surgeries deception too?

By your logic, wearing pretty clothes is 'deception' too, but you still enjoy women who wear them. Which in my book makes you a hypocrite.

Plastic surgery is just a kind of body modification like any other, it's more drastic though. It's the same idea as getting a ton of tattoos or facial piercings, it changes the way people view you as a person. A lot of it is fad or based on the trends of the time, which make it really interesting to me. Things like boob jobs were never heard of or desirable until a few decades ago(same with liking large breasts all together) and may go out of style eventually as well. Even so, extreme body modification for beauty is prevalent through ancient cultures, some being long standing traditions like foot binding in china which lasted 1000 years.

The idea of natual being beautiful is also a very recent thing almost world wide. corsetry, breast binding, foot binding(as I mentioned), makeup and all those things have been around since ancient times.

Your idea of natural beauty and how one is 'meant' to look is infact the alien one even though our culture is trying to shift into that being the norm, it's doubtful it can happen any time soon because it has history to go up against.

Fads may change but they will still exist, you'll just need to learn to accept it.
