aside from the usual
>"WHATS THIS ALL ABOUTTTT"
>"IS THERE A SHOW GOING ONNN"

very recently I was walking a very lovely traveler lolita back to her hotel which was in the middle of the city, so we're just casually just waiting to cross the street while both wearing basically full AP outfits.

a while back, when we were still with the rest of the meet group, some random man asked to take a picture with one of us then walked away. Later, at that stoplight, the same man stood right next to us and kept asking "m-mam, when are you going to d-dress like that again..." over and over. We just kind of ignored him until I looked over at him and went "Yes?"

He got too nervous and stumbled out a "n-nevermind" and walked off.

It was kinda spooky.

My younger sister used to call me an anime. It was sweet.

Once some guy came up to a group of us and said "y-you look really pretty like you are from anime or something." That same day, a homeless guy flipped me off.
Once some guys decided it would be fun to scream "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DRESSED AS" from across the street.
And once when I went out with some friends for lunch, a random middle aged woman said "oh what cute little loli-lolis" to us.

So I work in retail, and my boss hired a girl that I used to go to high school with. She was a mega cunt who used to bully me relentlessly back in the day and I wasn't at all excited about working with her, because I knew she was going to put on this fake-sweet attitude and I just didn't want to deal with it. After a couple of weeks, some of my coworkers were warming up to her and they would go out for dinner or drinks on occasion, but I warned them that she's really not what she seems to be. After hearing "Oh anon, people change!" and "Cut her some slack, that was years ago!" a couple of times, I gave up and just went about my business.
Fast forward a couple of months later, I walk into the break room to put my stuff away before clocking in, and MegaCunt (tm) is there with a few other girls who were also about to start their shifts. As soon as I walk in, she pulls out her phone and says "Oh hey anon! I have to show you this picture! I saw this girl who looked just like you at this restaurant I went to, except her hair was different and she was dressed like a fucking gothic baby or some shit!" She starts showing everyone a grainy photo she took from across the restaurant of me eating with my husband while wearing a really basic coordinate with pic related, and she kept going on about how "TOTALLY RIDICULOUS" I looked and how she was "so shocked that anyone would marry someone who dresses like THAT". Now, the other three girls in the room think lolita is the coolest thing ever and they were all visibly disgusted at how she was acting. I started cracking up, and one of the other girls politely said "...that actually is anon, and I think she looks really cool to be honest." The others agreed and MegaCunt was so fucking embarrassed, she tried backpedaling immediately and said things like "Well it's just that I've never seen anything like that before and I didn't know what to think and I guess it's kinda cool..." but the other girls were already so done and it was great.

Oh man I worked at Macys during prom season once. We had a huge rack of clearance dresses that was an utter wreck all the time and was mostly damaged and even some dresses that just sat around for a few seasons without selling. One day two girls that were obviously just poking around for funsies were trying on random dresses and checking the prices. Suddenly I heard them scream and start grabbing with more urgency, and they finally came up to the register with about a dozen of varying sizes and types. Turns out they found a bunch that had been reduced down over and over and were all like $5-$8. I think they said they were going to keep some and give the rest out to anyone they knew that needed a fancy dress, which is certainly a nice gesture, since the whole lot cost less than the average dress would at full price.

I don't have a car, and I take a long walk every day just because I enjoy it. To get to places, I mostly take the bus and walk. I just live in a hot area and don't like getting my good clothes sweaty. I don't actually own a dog though, so maybe I overestimate how much exercise you'd get playing with them. I see a lot of people here going jogging with their dogs, but maybe that's unusual.

What kind of autist doesn't know what language someone speaks, has no excuse to talk to them (what's the intended follow up with that Nihao?), and goes up to a stranger anyway?

Not to mention driving while wearing two petticoats is uncomfortable.

I love old ladies, they're so nice.

What the fuck I had this happen too and also in PA, though in Valley Forge or wherever Zenkaikon used to be. It was right before the con started though. Like we were just arriving and decided to eat before going to the hotel to change into cosplay, and some dude stopped us for pics. So somewhere out there is a pic of me and my friend in standard basic-bitch fall wear with some dude way too jazzed about it.

I was bullied relentlessly by several people in my school, and most of them still live in my area and I always worry that one day I might end up having to work a job with one of them. I can only hope it would go as well as it did for you, ha ha ha.

I also live on base and the people at the gate are always so confused unless it's like October or something. The little old ladies at the shoppette are lovely though; they get so excited when they see me and my "fancy dresses". My chats with them make up for the fact that everyone else probably thinks I'm really weird.

We have a few Asian places around me and I always cringe so hard going in. The one isn't so bad, its out of the city in a very nice area and is a bit pricey, so I think most weebs just avoid it because of that. Its great for nice import stuff and they have some homegoods and books too. The other is cheaper and in the city and every time I've been there some kid is screeching bullshit Japanese (extra cringe since its mostly Chinese/Korean). Last time I was there, a bunch of teens in SnK shirts were trying to balance a plastic shrine on top of a cart full of snacks.

>"I'm me, I'm not sure who you mean, if you mean what I'm wearing, it's a Japanese Street fashion"
>Looks over to her coworker and shouts "Hear that? Japanese street fashion, would never have thought it was Jap, ha"
They did not get my business. I don't mind questions and expect them but at 50 years old and working in a customer service job, you'd think people would know better.
