It's really not that big of a fucking deal what other people want to cosplay. I can also tell the root of it is jealousy. Nerdy, average-looking girls feel upset that hot girls with great bodies have the same interests as them and want to show off their bodies in cosplay. It's only natural for them to feel that way, but still stupid and they need to get over themselves.

That being said, the worbla armor and bunnysuits are getting kind of boring and repetitive. I'm hoping for a new, more creative trend to replace them.

Unpopular opinion, but I'm not tired of bunnysuits yet, just lazy "bunnysuits". A leotard is not a bunnysuit. An off the rack corset (not even one with a curvy shape, but anime con dealer's hall tier or even Hot Topic tier one) with a pair of panties is not a bunnysuit. A cotton strapless one piece without any boning so it's falling down and wrinkled is not a bunnysuit.

I don't mind bunnysuit versions as long as they're done right. I don't really care for them, but I don't hate them.

So I just read an epic argument up thread about whether what someone does(n't) do, whether said action effects you, and whether you should care. Simply put, yes.. Everyone's cosplay effects all of us. See the cosplay community isn't seen as mainstream, so it is common for people to see a shitty bikini cosplay and them blanket sweep the entire community. Instead of saying "That girl looks trashy", they will say "Trashy cosplayers".

Now I guess it's also totally up to you to simply say "I don't care about what others opinion on me".. but I would assume most of the cosplay community does. We (or at least I) love the reactions I get when people see my costume. It is the main reason I do it.
