I know this is a stupid question, but can anyone tell me how much EMS shipping for a costume might be? Can't find any info on the weight of the costume, but it's a school uniform, with a blazer. Direct ordering or through an agent? Everywhere has different discount percentages, so it's hard to say unless we know that part. If it's direct, the first kg is 24 bucks to the usa, and that should fall within it? With an agent, I'd guess around 35 usd. I may be off, but those are my best guesses from someone who's done a lot of orders.

Theyre quite nice to walk in, padded a little as well. I would probably go up a size though. I am an EU39 and ordered the 40 and theyre pretty much a perfect fit maybe even tight with socks.

Navy boots are really nice. Much better quality than I thought they would be.. lined with this really soft fluffy material inside.

Silver shoes WILL. DESTROY. YOUR. FEET. Like I said above, size 39 ordered a 40 and my toes still get crushed together into the ends, if youre walking long distances I highly recommend not ordering these for anything other than standing at a photoshoot.

Havent actually opened them as theyre apart of someone elses order, but looking through the packet. The Spoon/ Fork ones (https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.3-c.w4002-9479593900.43.KPVMyy&id=40565397157)) arent sewn into the material, theyre a paint over the top, so it will probably crack and flake off eventually. The ribbon ones look a little thin but the ribbons seem to be fixed there reasonably well.

So I've read the two forwarding guides that get posted frequently but there's one step I'm still fuzzy on. Sorry in advance if this is a super newby question.

On the item page's shipping options, usually it says "free mainland shipping." Is mainland (free or not) the one to choose, assuming the warehouse is in the "mainland"?

After I made an account, there is a "Taobao CSCL Freight: Overseas segment first re ¥ 143.30 / kg" option. This seems wrong to me, since it has to be shipped to a warehouse before it gets shipped overseas. But maybe I'm just really, very wrong...

The blue hat was quite a lot smaller than anticipated.. like the size of the ones tied under the chin from the Victorian era. It has really nice details on it though and is really lovely, just a little small (not mini top hat size - don't worry)

Not that anon but I have the same one. It's quite small, smaller than A4 size. It's pleather, and it's alright for just a phone and a wallet. But don't try anything too thick. The straps have magnetic clasps on the bottom I think. Seriously it's a $20 pleather bag it's not gonna be great but you can wear it with a coord.

If the taobao seller has a free shipping promotion or something you won't be paying to have it shipped to the cscl warehouse.
Once it gets to the warehouse, they repackage your items and get a weight. You'll then get a payment request from cscl to pay for the shipping from them to you (which is where the 143.30/kg comes in).
If you are overseas (US,Canada) you need to pick the cscl unless you've talked with the seller and they've agreed to ship directly to you.

Does anyone recommend one payment method over the others? I'm using Taobao Ring, and was going to use Paypal, but that tacks on a lot of fees, and then I though maybe I'd use Western Union to pay, didn't realize I had to set up a whole account for that. When I tried to google fu around about it, the only info I find is "if someone tells you your family member in a foreign country needs money because they're sick it's a scam!!!"

Hey /cgl/, I ordered a bolero through Pruany and it came the other day but they ordered it in the wrong colour. I contacted them about it and they told me they would give me a refund if I shipped the incorrect item back to them. I've never had an issue like this before, but is that normal? It's awfully inconvenient for me to have to ship it back to them to account for their mistake. Has anyone else had to deal with an issue like this before? I'm not really sure how to handle it without coming off as a bitch to my SS

sounds like it'd be a huge hassle. it might be cheap to have it shipped from china to japan, but from japan to wherever you are would be just as if not more expensive. the TB forwarding system/SSs can offer big discounts for methods like EMS, which I feel would be wasted on shipping to japan, given that you would have to pay non-discounted fees to have it shipped to you from there.

I need one that is 160cm, not 150cm, and all the ones I'm finding are way over priced and the cheaper ones have terrible reviews.

Should I just EXPECT to pay over $200 for a 160cm dakimakura body? Or are there any good taobao links?

The shoes are really nice for the price! They're really padded, and seem sturdy. I got them in 37 and I'm a us size 6, and they're a bit big. I could probably go down to 36, but they fit nicely. The toe box is pretty wide, too! There is a little scuff on one of the heels, though.

To contact the seller, click on the little blue chat thing. I took a screenshot to show you what I mean. Then, link the item you're missing to them and say they forgot to send it. If you're using google translate, dumb down the sentences like crazy for a better chance of being understood. I had to do this when a seller didn't ship for more than a week. I actually bought this one and posted a worn pic way back but I can't find it now. It's in the cgl archives I'll try and find it later. I also bought the black heart cut out skirt you see there.

I bought the larger size, it's a little loose on me but I wanted the bit of extra length. It's a nice, soft material.

The sleeves are super long though. I think it's to have that cute "this is too big for me" look. You can see in the model photos how she covers her hands with the sleeves.

I would get another picture for you but I'm in the process of moving and everything is packed up. Sorry.

Boyfriend here. Boy, this was a trainwreck. I've never had such a terrible experience with a shipping service in my entire life. I honestly want to get a plane to china just to put their building on fire.

My advice is: Don't ever order from them again. If your brain even thinks about it, slap yourself with a hundred pound cinder block, as I'm sure it's a better idea than ordering anything with them.

Yoybuy went downhill when their Paypal got shut down or something happened with it that basically made them unable to use it. After they stopped accepting Paypal they got shady and started having "errors" that charged people's cards more than they were supposed to and all this other bullshit until finally everyone stopped using them and now they send out emails every few weeks with promotions to get people back.

I'm thinking if finally placing babies first rain So order for this. It has a $15 pre-order that ends on the 25th. Full price is $56. Would a shopping service even do the pre-order price? Though for that price I'd rather just do the full price.

Same, they were my favourite SS and I even had an order with them at the time. They stopped accepting paypal as a payment method a while ago, and then a bunch of people started to get overcharged (sometimes by 10x the amount, you can find it in the archives) by alipay.
Now it doesn't even direct you to alipay, you just put your CC details straight into the website. I never had a problem with them myself but didn't want to take the risk. I managed to get my stuff out with a prepaid visa prezzy card.

Paint is something that would not make it past Chinese customs, let alone your countries. It's both liquid, which is a no-no, and has poisonous chemicals: another no-no. Unless you can get an SS willing to hide it inside something and take that risk, just buy it from somewhere else.

You'd save more money in shipping if you just used the forwarder. It's very easy as long as you read the guide either on taobao itself or on gwensies blogspot, which can easily be used for the states (where I am) as long as you have a little common sense. People say it's a choice between hassle or cost, but imo just buying and forwarding is better in both of those ways for me once you get used to it.

One of them got to the SS in two days, the other one only "appeared" about 20 days later, when I asked the SS. Both items were supposed to be in stock since they are not custom made.

Then the SS took over 15 days to answer us about the shipping, and we were already in a tight schedulle. We would make questions because our customs is a bitch and we needed to clarify some things with the SS.

The SS stopped talking to us for a few days, returning only after we said we were ready to pay and just needed them to set the price.

We paid, and they took about a week to "ship" it, sending us a tracking number ( DHLL). Then a few days later they said they needed more data about us and couldn't ship it (so where did the tracking come from?). The next day they said they sent the data to DHL and went on a holiday break.

The tracking never worked, nothing ever worked, and today they came and told us they didn't ship it.

The con is in two days and we're already screwed. There's no way this will be here in time. We would send constant reminders to taobaoring that we needed the stuff soon and that we were ready to pay. We answered every message within minutes but they always took over one day to answer us, sometimes just disappearing completely.

Yep, that's the one! If you are confused about something, google what it is and you will probably find an answer. Or you can ask here, or I can give you a throwaway email to help you troubleshoot? I made an account and did my first run about a month ago and it was fast and easy, and now my next one will be ready to be shipped in the next few days. It looks intimidating at first, but it's actually really easy.

The hardest part is stopping yourself from buying all the things. I have six different dress preorders atm, which means I'll have an order or two a month for the next three months.O-Oops. Oh, and the warehouse 20 day limit is a bitch. The fees build up fast, so you have to monitor that closely. But the shipping is so much cheaper than I used to pay that it's still worth it even going over.

Idk if you're complaining about this part or not but literally all SS do that right now... China kind of stops for the holiday break (My bf's brother lives there right now and he told me everyone travels home during this time).

It seems pretty simple, I think the only part I'd have any questions on is the final payment and consolidating everything into one package. So, the process is:

>make payment
>wait for sellers to ship and for items to arrive at warehouse
>consolidate into one package
>pay international shipping fees
>wait for it to arrive
