It sets itself apart from all the other cosplays that get blasted on Tumblr for being unintentionally insensitive. This one's pretty obvious in what they are setting out to do. Someone mentioned in another site that they claimed that it wasn't a 9/11 cosplay but from an actual series? Although it's painfully obvious. The dolls really take it up a notch.

Let me tell you why those two things are completely different. Virtually no one who cosplays as nazis at a con is just cosplaying a nazi. They are cosplaying a fictional character who happens to be a nazi. Dressing up as a nazi for the sake of dressing up like a nazi is just as bad as cosplaying 9/11 or Columbine. Pretty much no one would be upset if they were cosplaying a fictional mass shooter, like Tate Langdom from American Horror Story, for example.
