Some people can't keep it up if they only get fit for looks because mentally they won't see themselves as different and they might not be in the right mindset to stick with a healthy eating habit either.

I have a friend who thinks she is fat and she has lost 7lbs already in a week and is super proud. All she has been doing is working out and drinking water, barely eating. I tried to sit her down and explain what she is losing is most likely water weight and if she eats normal again, she will have a hard time keeping the weight off because she isn't losing fat right now. She is losing weight in the wrong way and is bound to fail to be honest. She needs to work on eating healthy meals first, get into the habit of that, and then start working out on top of that. Not only drink water, barely eat, and be in the gym 2hrs a day.

Skirt was originally part of a to Alice set from taobao, but there are plenty of dupes floating around taobao and aliexpress if you search for 'kimono pleated skirt'. Shoes were also from taobao but the listing is long gone.

I get so sad looking at all these cute anons.. I don't think I have a bad fashion sense, but I change what I like really often.. Like, way more often than what's normal. Because of that I can never really build up a closet, and have like one or two outfits that I really like, but a shit ton of clothes.

Also, I have the ugliest body. Im not fat, but I have big boobs, no hips and a broad waist, plus I'm really short, so everything sits really badly

Im trying to lose weight tough, and I've started using a binder too (although it sits super weird because boobs are too big), so that might help..

if you're going for mori I think you've completely missed the mark. I can kind of understand your reasoning with the layers, but it's not just a matter of needing more layers, I think none of the pieces you've used could ever really be mori either. Mori is supposed to be naturey and natural, so you'll want naturey colors like brown and tan to comprise the majority of our outfit, and you'll want to focus on natural fiber pieces and chunky knits. I don't know if mori has any associated brands, but you might want to start with brand pieces before branching out to off brand and especially (I'm assuming) western clothing, so you get a better grasp of what mori really looks like.

I think she was going more for that "dark mori" thing.

OP: just so you know, dark mori/strega was something that was invented in the west. and while there's nothing wrong with the style, a lot of people don't really consider it jfashion. at the very least, you are going to have difficulty finding coords from Japan to inspire you. that being said, I still think you missed the mark even for dark mori. it feels like you have too much skin showing at the top, and you are correct that you need more layers. your hair seems very "normie" as well. you need more of an aetherial/witch from the woods feel than you have going on.

there has been strega threads on here in the past, so perhaps you can find those and take a look for inspo. you could also look at regular mori and try to translate that into more of a dark/witchy thing (but I would get a feel for the western version of the style before branching out too much). good luck!

Actually, h.Naoto Gramm is alternately promoted as dark mori and gothic lolita (not all their clothing fits both styles though). It's fairly cheap secondhand, but mainly posting it to point out you could probably use look to h.Naoto coords for inspiration.

As for the origin of dark mori, it originated as a joke with the original Japanese morigirls, someone wrote a list similar to the original morigirls list, calling themselves swamp girls (numa girl). The livejournal girls thought the idea was interesting and ran with it, creating dark mori. Not entirely accurate to say it's a completely western creation, but not entirely inaccurate either, since numa girl was mainly a joke, not quite a fashion.

Strega is a seperate thing invented by a tumblr user long after swamp girl/dark mori and is properly western. It got lumped together with dark mori because when people first posted it on cgl there would be entire threads of long arguments about whether or not strega was dark mori repackaged, and the janitors stepping in to say if strega wasn't jfashion then it should be posted on /fa/.

Just an fyi sorta thing. polite sage for off topic.

I have come to two conclusions after this self-post thread.

1. Gulls have no friends to take pictures of their coords, presumably due to high sodium levels.
2. Gulls blow all their money on animu and jfash shit so they can't afford a camera from the last decade.
3. (not all posts) but damn guys, for being the mecca of up to date discussion of j-fash, the quality of coords here is seriously lacking. Does anyone actually wear the fashions they talk about or is it just a theoretical hobby for you all? I can see why that awful "princess of the anime club" style is getting so much positive feedback.

These are just OOTD. If you wear something every day, it's really weird to make your friends take photos with it on a good camera. It's also weird to plan ever single coord months in advance.

Everyone complains about there not being enough lifestyle jfash, but what do you expect when you treat it like a special piece of art rather than the clothing it is?

the knit dress, which is the focus of the outfit, looks cheap and poorly made. the sweater underneath is nice but the thing over it is doing her (you?) no favors. look how it falls on the body

and what's going on with the leggings? it looks like there's opaque black leggings and then she tried to fill in the gap with a pair of sheer socks. choose one or the other.

the main issue is that fugly dress though and if this is you then you should consider not wearing it. it does not flatter you. the look isn't polished for these reasons, and larme (which i assume this was supposed to be) relies on details and clothes that flatter the body in a fashionable way. this is not doing that.

I think it's fine that your legs are bare since the boots have the trim which add a lot of detail, but you might want to consider a necklace or something in your hair instead.
I really think adding to your legs would be way too busy and a lot of gyaru originally had a bare leg anyway (which in its own way is a focal point of an outfit).

There's nothing wrong with bare legs in this kind of jfashion IMO. Putting on printed tights or adding a longer sock or something for the sake of putting it on (not counting for warmth obviously) is just making the outfit a clusterfuck.
