There's real Gothic Lolita, and then there's Anime/Game Gothic Lolita.

The two went their separate ways years ago, and I think this costume isn't too far from the latter.

For those too lazy to look it up one of the hallmarks of lolita is the skirt reaches the knees or lower, there's a petticoat involved and you would never see all that thigh.

Off the top of my head I can remember that ita Haruhi Suzumiya outfit that was labeled as gothic lolita and looked like milanoo. Or maybe the girls from Chobbits? I remember way back when where that was what people who didn't know the fashion would associate it with.

Pic related took only a minute to find. Anime lolita is usually overdesigned, contrasting colors, BIG corset lacing in the front, usually too short, etc. It's ita. Meanwhile for "good" anime ideas of gothic lolita, all I can remember was Gosick was viewed as pretty decent. Paradise Kiss had a really good example too.
