I recently placed a somewhat large order with TBR.
One of the items I ordered sold out after I paid them, and that was almost the same amount I would have paid for SAL shipping, so they used that and shipped my parcel.
Only, I didn't want them to send it yet cause I wanted them to mark my parcel down.
How screwed am I? Do they mark down automatically when you haven't asked?
I'm bummed about this cause it's a 300 euro parcel, and customs are so greedy over here.

Oh god so I'm on vacation right now away from home but scheduled one of my orders for SAL shipping the other day, since shipping estimates all said 1-2 months. My parcel shipped out on Tuesday the 9th and everything seemed to be going as per the usual/expected schedule until I just casually checked the tracking this morning and apparently as of Sunday the 14th it had somehow already arrived at Canada customs? In literally 5 days? Normally this would be a blessing but there's not going to be anyone at home to claim it for at the very least another 3 days or so so I'm crossing my fingers that typical Canada post delays and parcel hell actually intervenes enough for me to get it myself.

Do any other canucks remember how long they hold parcels for you at the post office after failed delivery?

Different anon. I've had these shoes before but I don't have any on hand to photograph so I'm doodling on your pic, sorry OP!

If you need your shoes tighter or looser, just move the buckle from one hole to another then connect the hook back to it.

When you put the hook on the strap, the buckle should hide the hook and the elastic strap part should be hidden behind the shoe strap.

I couldn't tell from the photo which direction the straps were going so I may have it backwards and if the hooks slide off or something, just put them on the other end of the buckle. Whichever way it takes so that if you tug on the shoe strap the hook hits the metal piece on the buckle and doesn't go any further.

Postal anon here,
Canada will hold packages at the post office for 14 days/2 weeks after they've attempted delivery/left you a slip for pickup.
You can also try to call the post office it will be held at with the package details and let them know you won't be around to pick it up until "XXX" date and they might be nice enough to hold it for you until then. (you'll have to closely monitor the tracking for this as the package wouldn't be in their system yet until it actually reaches Canada)

I wouldn't worry about it too much though as Canada post has been severely backlogged ever since the last Christmas season and are still struggling to catch up with making timely deliveries so it's not very uncommon for packages especially ones from china to arrive pretty late right now.
One of the main sorting centres for mail coming into Canada from the Asia region is in BC and that one is the one causing the backlog and the effects are felt across the country as most of the mail coming from Asia goes there first.
I've had things come from japan with SAL only after 3 months when they normally should take 1 maximum (they always did before), and little things from china arrive around the same timeframe - UNLESS they paid for a better shipping like EMS- those methods are also a little bit delayed but a lot less so than the cheaper shipping ways like SAL, registered airmail,etc.

No shine at all! I was super surprised by how well made they are. They don't have combs sewn in to keep the wig in place though. With both wigs I got a complete wig care package. Don't lose hope just yet on those small packages that are missing.
I've had that happen too where I was waiting on things from November and they only got here in March so you never know they may still come but get a refund if possible for sure to cover yourself as it's not a certainty of it, just saying that there is still possibility of it showing up even after this long.
Canada post gives priority to the more expensive shipping methods so the same packages can keep getting thrown off to the side to make way for taking care of the higher class ones that are giving them more money.
A lot of sorting centre employees also just dgaf and if a package gets jammed or otherwise accidentally enters the pile to be shipped somewhere farther away rather than closer to you, it will take even longer as it is making its way back to be sorted correctly the next time it enters a system (hopefully).
A problem has lately been happening with some areas/sellers online who shop with the cheap methods where packages aimed for Canada are being returned to them by their customs -most good sellers will message you to tell you this and refund you but some might not and just hope you forget. I don't know what the deal is about this though, just that this specific thing has happened to me 3 times in the last month with sellers in the Asia and not just China.

I've only wore them around the house, but so far they seem comfy! They fit true to size (I'm a european size 37½, I bought size 39). I always buy a half size up whenever possible.
The only problem I'd say, is that the front of the shoe is very flat, so it cuts into my foot a little bit, if that makes sense. Nothing too bad, but still worth noting.

Thinking of doing my first taobao order in several years. Does taobao forward to the UK now, or do I still need a ss?

So I just received these two dear celine blouses in the mail and I'm not particularly impressed. So far I've loved all the DC blouses I've gotten which is two other styles besides pic related in multiple colorways. The XL size is always a great fit for me (fatty Chan plz no bully) but these have a really awkward fit. Because the sleeve is two layers of sleeve the inner sleeve is way tighter than a long sleeved lolita blouse should be. Since overall the blouse is very form fitting with the tight sleeves it also gives a weird fit in the armpit (?) area. The black one is the worst for me and I don't even think the thing fits my shoulders properly. The white is a bit better since I guess the size variation from garment to garment. I also found the sleeves to be a tad too short for my arms.

Normally I wouldn't post so much complaining about the fit. But since I've had good experiences with DC before and the measurements for these blouses were similar to the ones I already own that do fit, i thought maybe this would be informative to someone else. If anyone else got these in another size I'd be really curious to hear what you think of the fit. If it's weird or not

I'm a 70H. The bras were actually a little bit larger than I'd have expected, but not by anything major. I'd probably order a 70G next time just to accommodate that. They're very low cut, so if you need a bra for a low neckline they're good for that. They're also padded and push up but for some reason only one pair had an insert in it while the other just had space for an insert.

The labels were in Japanese and it seemed like the shop only had 1-2 bras in each listed size so my thoughts are the bras might have been factory defects.

I loved the otks until I got to the lace, I was pretty disappointed to find out it was raschel lace. In the stock photos it looked like bodyline-tier tulle lace which would've been way better than sparsely ruffled raschel lace.

Despite that, the print is still nice, the fabric is light and stretchy, and the elastic doesn't cut into my thigh. It kinda feels a bit loose actually, but I have chicken legs so that's probably why.

The beret fits pretty snug on my head, I was a bit worried that it would be too small because my head circumference was just within the measurements of the beret.

The quality is kinda iffy, the colour and embroidery look beautiful (there's even embossed details) and looks a lot more sturdy than in the stock photos, but it's made of a sorta thin felt which is a bit fuzzy. I was pretty surprised at how nice this is, considering I got the cheaper option which google translate called "undesirable lace". The lace and embroidered crosses look nice, and they aren't shiny. The fabric is nice as well, although it wrinkled a little. The ribbon is thin but long, and is not shiny. There's only one hairclip (the other option had 3) although the headdress is lightweight so one is enough. The headdress goes from ear tip to ear tip when worn; I put it beside a bodyline headdresses to compare size.

Is Taobao down? It keeps redirecting me to broken Tmall links. I tried clearing cookies and cache.

I'm so annoyed right now. So Taobaofocus just cancelled a large portion of my order - all the things I was ordering from Soufflesong and then some.
Last night 1 of 3 Soufflesong items was cancelled and the other 2 were fine so I thought maybe they had legitimately run out of a fabric or something - but today all of my Soufflesong song items were cancelled! And now it's too late to change the order again.
So I think they automatically cancelled make to order items. But some other items that weren't make to order were also cancelled even though they seem to be in stock, and other items from the same seller are ordered. When I use their cart function or go on the Taobao site and click the size/colour of the items it had seemed there were plenty in stock.
I've already paid the first payment which covers the price of all the items, when an item is cancelled the money you have already paid goes to the 2nd payment (which is shipping). But my Soufflesong items are way more expensive than the little things they are shipping. So I have 170+ that is left over, and I can’t use it with a different agent because it’s stuck with Taobaofocus now.

I find sometimes it does that when you open certain mobile links on the desktop version. Make sure they're in the usual desktop format and it should go away, if it's the same problem

Just double checked to make sure I wasn't using mobile links. Even just going straight to the TB homepage is redirecting me to tmall.

I can access my user TB page fine but when I use the search box/click on any items it'll go straight to Tmall. Weird.
