Part of the problem is that the design is simple and list of closet parts. It draws low-effort people who live up to the name into doing it. A simple costume also means greater attention to the few details there are and making them easier to spot if something's off, really off.

Generally things Futaba cosplayers don't get right:

Though I'd rather see more main series, or at least other subseries cosplays, I love that P5 has so many versions of the same character. Different uniforms, not to mention the optional outfits you can unlock/get as free DLC. I'm thinking of doing Yusuke's Summer uniform because it's so simple and Yusuke is great.

Yeah, with both her and to a lesser extent Makoto, I personally feel like the purple/red eyes in game can be represented with brown in real life, since a lot of the characters either have black/brown hair and brown eyes, an excuse (dyed hair/foreign) for not having that, or something that's visually close to it. It just feels like they were going for a more realistic overall design this time.

Guys, the colors of the game are weird and change all the time. I think her eyes are purple though.

I'm a little torn on what to do about Haru's ammo belt. She's the only thief that prominently displays ammo in her design and I feel it would be problematic at and around cons. I'm not sure how to avoid it except make 40mm grenades that are just cylinders without the bullet shape or maybe make it so the ammo and loops part of the bet can be taken off without issue

her ammo looks a little bit too big, to be considered real (and I am aware, that ammo of that size maybe exist, but that's for heavy machine guns, usually mounted on humvees and tanks)

Her ammo consists of grenade rounds, you know, since she uses a grenade launcher. Machine gun ammo looks nothing like that and the size of her ammo is accurate for grenade rounds.

Where are people getting their plaid fabric? friends ordered some online (spoonflower) but said they had to pay out the ass for it (they all got it from the same place so our fabrics could match)

Heyy, it's me, FURtaba!! I'm not gonna lie, my Futaba cosplay from last year sucked my dudes. It was super weird coming across this thread and seeing a picture of my cosplay. Heyy, it's me, FURtaba!! I'm not gonna lie, my Futaba cosplay from last year sucked my dudes. It was super weird coming across this thread and seeing a picture of my cosplay ngl. I think I've improved on Futaba since then, short sleeve instead of 3/4, fur on my coat, a more accurately colored wig, ACTUAL SOCKS. Still can't do makeup to save my life though, so there's that, lol

So, quick review. I'll go via pros and cons

>Pros
>Made nearly of all stretchy fabric (Spandex or stretch pleather) so it fits/hugs your body well
>Comes with nearly everything you need including the mask and shoe covers which is nice
>Literally way more accurate than most pre-mades
>Has inner leg "V"/Gusset for more flex
>Decently priced
>Makes your butt look 11/10

>Cons
>Quality is mostly good but a little iffy in some areas, the stitching needs to be reinforced. (Thighs if you're thicc, shoe covers mainly)
>Neck to crotch/rise is SHORT so if you have a long torso you're kinda screwed or doomed to choke. I personally couldn't zip up the neck part, but thats fine bc scarf covers it (also good fuckin' luck sitting)
>Someone else needs to zip the suit for you
>The snaps are so strong in some spots like the shoe covers you'll pull them off the cos (fixable though)
>Mask is missing details, but its easy to add yourself with a hot knife
>Gloves are big but easy enough to fix/make smaller


All in all the cos is good and I'm happy with it, It's comfy when standing just not sitting. Like any bodysuit too it gets a little warm.

Unstretched is 23.5" up the front from crotch to base of the neck (in a size medium)
I'm about 26" from crotch to base of the neck (having a larger chest/bust doesn't help me either I'm sure)

Objectively, this girl doesn't look ugly to me. Maybe more eyeshadow to soften your eyes. I see you used snow filter for your photo, but the effect is that it looks a bit scary since your eyes are already large. Use eyeshadow instead of relying on filters and use makeup to soften your face.

I did Haru in April just after finishing the game and I used plastic travel shampoo bottles painted golden, then stuck inside of the belt.

I made the belt with a double layer of fake dark brown leather. The outside layer was sewn with the with of every travel shampoo bottle so I could stuck it in there.

I would post a photo but 4chan doesn't let me. Fuck.
