Seconding the not everyone can wear contacts. Also, depending on prescription, the lenses alone can end up costing hundreds. It's not just a case of getting glasses that're colour matched to your coord - too expensive, especially when prescriptions change fairly regularly, and it's best to pick glasses that suit you. The trend for trying to push people to wear contacts in lolita, be they circle lenses, or even prescription ones, is ridiculous imo.

I want my glasses to look nice with my coords so I don't have to take them off and I'm convinced you *can* make glasses look nice with Lolita.
I'm up for new ones and want to get a pair end of this month.
We have much more options now where I live (eurofag) so I'm going to get a bunch of them that will go with all my styles (gothic, old school, classic, otome).
Not all at the same time, but probaly a pair every month.
Instead of paying 200-ish euro's for one pair, I can now get complete glasses with all glass options from 25 to 50 euro's max.
So really, with prices like that there is no excuse to wear glasses that don't go with Lolita.
I wished I could wear contacts, but hard lenses were extremely painful, and I'm not allowed to wear soft ones, if I do I risk going blind.

I think this pic is a good example of glasses looking nice with Lolita.
This pair is really neutral and works with almost everything except maybe gold prints.

The cost of lenses depends on the complexity of one's prescription. I have a pretty complicated prescription with thinned lenses as otherwise they'd be milk bottle lenses. I also have to have prescription sunglasses for health reasons. The lenses alone for my main glasses cost over 300 euros. I find finding frames that suit me a nightmare as most frames are too big for me. I chose very neutral coloured metal frames that suit me first was my only option, as black frames (to match my wardrobe) look awful on me, and I couldn't match to my main accent colour in my wardrobe. While yes, the other Anon is right to an extent that they're a fashion accessory, the medical aid factor comes first, and what suits you and what suits all of your wardrobe don't always match up perfectly, and prescription dependant. Having lots of pairs might not be an option for numerous reasons. I think personally that the girl in white with the black frames in question looked good because her glasses suit her, and from a distance didn't stand out a huge amount at first to me as well. Yes, she could have taken them off, but I liked the look of them enough in the photo.

Not ouji. There are literally zero masculine elements to this, and ouji is by definition the masculine counterpart to lolita fashion. It's definitely possible to have pastel ouji but you'd need the proper pieces for it, much like lolita, where a coord must have a petticoat, legwear and a blouse to be deemed complete, an ouji outfit needs a vest or jacket. Still, it's maybe more cohesive and less of a hot mess than anything else I've seen her wear, which is remarkably sad.

It's like the most awkward photo in the yearbook grew arms and legs and decided to wear lolita. My biggest piece of advice here is to just relax and pose naturally, perhaps in a more natural setting in daylight. I also agree that she needs to do something with her hair/accessory to balance out the skirt volume. But she can't improve if she refuses to take concrit because not wearing a wig was a "decision" or something.
