the wig is too cool toned for her skin, not enough blue in coord for beret, which also looks awkward size-wise with the high collar of the op. steaming would help the vertical lines pop more beautifully. maybe also more structured poof.

keeping the beret with this would require switching the red collar bow for a blue one and changing the hairstyle to one that is symmetrical and more voluminous.

I posted Arthael's mostly because she would have won if Briz hadn't entered (so the newer anons can see) and also partly because it's one of the few steampunk coords that I like. The tights work well with the print and there's a lot of cute touches with the accessories. And she's got a sort of story going on in the shot like she's a watch repair girl off to fix some contraption. You might find it tacky but I find it charming. If you liked other entries, feel free to post them.

Interesting concept but needs a lot of work.
The shoes are too clunky, a refined pair of lace up boots would help give it a retro/hakama feel. A red blouse might be more interesting and break up the block of black. The chiffon skirt also feels too light for this look. Maybe something more structured, like a pleated skirt would look better.

I like the overall idea a lot, but the look would be stronger with a more gothic color scheme, e.g. black tights and maybe goth type shoes. Also the hair wants more styling, even just a ponytail extension would look nice. I'd also prefer a bow shaped obi tie in the back, or even some chiffon ribbon puffs tucked in to match the chiffon skirt and blouse.
