I've met Reika myself and she was polite, kind and smiled at everyone, regardless of how good their costumes were, whether they were bought or selfmade, whether they bought her merch or not. I don't really care much about Wirru either way but it's interesting to see the responses this is garnering from other big names in cosplay. I immediately thought of all the fame-hungry cosplayers that don't have a social conscience and manipulate people the best they can. They're prone to cutting corners to get where they want with bought costumes for popular characters, overshopped faces and by riding on other people's coattails. They call out some popular cosplayer to stir up a scene, ruining their reputation and gaining momentum by being branded as the poor victim that needs your immediate support. Checked out some receipts people had left about him and all of my assumptions were most likely correct.

There are nice cosplayers here but are not as popular. Cosplaying in the PH is considered a very expensive hobby. The popular ones like Alodia and Liui are rich enough to post constantly, so they stay longer in the scene and gain a big fanbase.
