Too obscure right now. Right now the big ones are Kobayashi-san, Final Fantasy, and Boku no Hero Academia. It might have a small wave but it will never be as big as the series you mentioned.

It won't happen. I think Katawa Shoujo was more popular and it didn't have tons of displays, not even close to be saturated.

I kinda want DDLC to take off just so I can hug Sayori

I don’t think KS had the same initial reach that DDLC did. KS was made by a bunch of 4chan spergs with no memey mind blowing gotcha. DDLC is free, on steam, edgy, and shilled by lets players, and has pretty female characters with no depth that thots can dress up as for upboats.

Maybe if KS came out after 2014 or so, around the time Let's Play channels started saturating YouTube, it might have got the same reach DDLC did but I think even then DDLC would probably have more fans because it's edgier, shorter, and easier to overreact to. Unfortunately, not many Let's Players want to play a non-joke/meme/edgy VN like KS.

BNHA is infinitely more overdone than DDLC can ever hope to be. It has the most cosplayers with usually medicore pre-bought costumes (bad/no masks, party city tier jumpsuits)

I imagine there's gonna be a handful of DDLC cosplay at any given con for the next year or so, but it's never gonna be on the level of the other stuff you mentioned--at the end of the day, it's not a long game (a franchise needs more content to reach the levels of something like Vocaloid/Hetalia/Homestuck), and it only has four characters.
