Seagull Santa - I know you said cards aren't on the same level as gifts to put the senders on the black list, but you could maybe do a gray list for them.

Honestly, there's always a chance envelope and letters can get lost in the mail but so many anons haven't received their cards that I find it hard to believe that many cards were lost in the mail.

Before anyone who (might) possibly jump in and demonise you, I think you're right - honestly, if people don't have time for any aspects of the gift exchange they shouldn't bother participating, so the people who actually care can have a good year (and who would be on the whitelist too).

Just to note - even if someone receives their parcel late or anything else that they aren't happy with, they won't express that outright to their Santa. So there may be more people who are dissatisfied but don't want their names attached to any complaints, minor or otherwise.

Honestly, it takes 5~ minutes to sign up on the original form, and you have 3 months from October - January to send out the gifts, at the maximum it shouldn't take more than a month to receive the gifts and people should be able to receive it by Christmas if you ship it with reasonable package deadlines.
Online/in store shopping will be 1-2~ hours total approx, with half an hour max for posting the package and 5 minutes to take a picture and upload it over the course of months.

I'm saddened by the amount of people who received late gifts and think there's no excuse for it, honestly.

I assigned the few that said they were willing to help out grinched anons their giftees but if they don’t follow through, there’s not much to be done at this point. Half of them didn’t even participate in this exchange (there are some anons who missed the deadline, some from /k/, etc.).
