Yes, but not in the way you'd expect. I pay attention to what I'll be doing that day. If I'm going to be working on stuff physically, I'll be wearing old clothes full of stains and holes. If I'll just be debating, discussing, researching and planning, I'll wear cleaner but just as comfy clothes.

For nice dinners, photoshoots and formal events, I bust out suits, dresses, accessories and make-up.

To answer Ops dumb question, of course I do. Other than being a lolita, cosplay (when done correctly) can give you an eye for construction, fabric, and overall quality of clothing. That being said, I’d rather take care of my hair and skin instead of looking like a gaudy, wrinkly handbag when I’m 35 so I’ll skip the tanning and bleaching. To each their own.

I don't really have a reason to outside of cosplay.

I need to use uniform at my workplace, so that kind of restricts how I dress. Usually it's pretty much jeans and sneakers, and a Star Wars shirt, or a plain basic t-shirt. So I do pay attention, but as not as much as I do when cosplaying.

I'm a dude, just people know.
