The stickers make it look FB tier along with the empty spaces. The glitter and glare make it hard to see the buttons. The jewels at the bottom are sloppy and remind me of the MLP bag with the figures just thrown in. This looks more like a bandwagon bag than a "I genuinely love this character" bag.

I actually have yet to see a bag that doesn't have a nasty glare on the window, but I'm not sure if there is a plastic that's perfectly clear but also matte.

If you have no idea what you're doing, why did you ignore the FAQ in the OP? I'm going to be blunt here.
- Get a more suitable backing fabric. It looks like you just used whatever you had lying around, and that lacy-looking stuff doesn't suit the character at all.
- Make some damn effort on the layout, it looks like you just threw things in without thinking.
- Ditch the cheap "make your own button" things and get nicer buttons made via wackybuttons or something similar
- TRIM YOUR STICKERS. Nothing looks tackier than huge white borders. For ones with complex shapes where you can't get rig of the white completely, you can still trim it down and do something like pic related in the remaining white space. Find a color that works and feel free to get creative with it.
Lastly, I'm assuming this is an MGS character. Have you looked up the name in japanese and searched around using that? Because I'm having a hard time believing there's absolutely nothing for it.

Remember anon, these bags are portable shrines, they're supposed to be a way of showing your love through time and effort spent on them.

i think you have a grasp of the concept, but like others have said it really does need organization. you could try going for patterns or shapes with the buttons, and fixing stickers in place after reenforcing them. i dont know much about metal gear, but maybe put an eyepatch/bandana on one/either side of the window. also yeah the jewels honestly look like shit, if you really want a filler for the bottom definitely use something else. if he has a signature weapon, maybe put some miniatures of those layered at the bottom, or just miniature guns in general. im just throwing out ideas though.

You're joking right? I'm a huge metal gear fan (fuck konami) and I have a fair bit of merch for MGSV. I remember ordering a box of rubber straps from amiami so official baggable merch exists. mgs has a huge cult following, it's shitting doujin works and fan straps out the ass. I really get the feeling you didn't read the FAQ at all here. There's an insane amount of potential and material you could use for a snake bag I'm so confused why yours is filled with furry and trash? Fuck you could make the bag look like the inside of the bag look like the inside of the copper with the photographs. You could make it codec style. If you want some crit though, it doesn't look like you paid any thought to placement. It just looks like you wanted to put all your merch on your bag at once so it looks thrown in at random eg. two identical badges with no placement, acrylics shoved in and hanging off that strap, there's no thought given to the aesthetic it really comes across as just trying to cram your little hoard into a bag at once. You might be better taking some of it out, or taking all of it out and trying again. I mean you have a strap completely blocking the view of a badge buried beneath another, and it took me a while to notice there's acrylics in there too at first. It's just chaos, no justice at all if you throw everything in without love.

CGL is overall much better since you will get actual concrit to improve your bags with instead of just "I love it!" hugboxing in the FB group, but of course you'll get some people who are overly harsh or just trying to be shit-stirrers as well. One thing to maybe consider is using patches to fill space? Zanzibarland has a lot of good stuff that would work for Venom, including some enamel pins as well. I also have a few handmade items, if you want to get crafty with it (I made a "man who sold the world" cassette tape for mine, for example). Everyone seems to have gotten to know each other by now and are all pretty chill, definitely a clique but they're up for helping anyone who cares about their bag looking good. Basically if you genuinely love your waifu/husbando and you're willing to drop the time and money into the hobby you'll fit in. I had no idea people were talking about my bag in there, I just asked them for an invite because I wanted to make my bag better and thought it would be a good place to start. I saw people mentioned me when I had a quick skim through channels to see what bags people had. With the twitter thing I wanted to be helpful to the person using their data to try and find a bag they wanted to show us, I was just mashing the space bar as I watched a show, I can see how it can be perceived as creepy now and I apologise for that. The only thing I can remember saying anything about someone’s purchases was someone asked if it’s bad they wanted to make a itabag of something they just played, I responded that that’s natural but it’s probably bad to impulse buy stuff. I still can’t find where I shit talked anyone’s bag, and that’s worrying me because I don’t want to have genuinely upset someone, and I don’t know who I insulted. I know people are anxious and stuff but if I insulted you call me out on it. If I’m being an asshole then I need to be smacked into place.

I realise I’m probably being bad at wording a lot of the time, and I want people to know I do see their criticism and think about it. Some crit I can’t change instantly but others like changing the purple ribbon and making my background more saturated are two I’m planning to do. I already tried to best the buttons in a honeycomb pattern in my new rearrangement. The bag colour is the only bit of crit I know I’ve not been sure on, but I’m looking at other bags to see what changes my mind.

As advice to the discord staff, if you haven't already, you need to set up a channel for new members and set a restriction so that they can only use this one until they're given a more permissive role. This way you can at least have a chat with them to see if they're complete retards before they start posting in the general chat. That'll be more work for your staff, but also less drama.
