I dearly want this look. Somehow the combo of smokey eye and her aesthetic really works here and yet it looks awful on me.

I have a "doll face", similar hair colour and skin tone, but I have dark grey eyes and I usually either go with my natural colour or dark blue for circle lenses. Would light grey contacts make a difference? Or is it about the ethereal skin "texture"?

Does anyone have any tips or products for getting a slight shine on your skin? Like a light shimmer makeup that doesn't look like instagram mua highlighting?

Well, as anyone that owns BJDs already knows, the sculpt is equally important to the faceup.
That means that unless you have a cute, symmetrical bone structure, makeup alone will not make you look like a BJD, considering how most bjds just have regular makeup on

Maybe a primer or finishing spray with a dewey finish? From experience though, applying shimmer to your entire face as opposed to only highlighting parts of it may make you look more sweaty than doll-like.

You are probably looking for a specific rendition of an animegao kigurumi mask. Despite the prejudice of "haha a dude in a mask" there is loads of creative people out there with plenty of really neat mask designs. I have seen some kig cosplayers even having blinking eyes.

Different anon but I made my own out of tights using that Weeping Angel tutorial that’s been floating around forever. Works best if you have a friend and an airbrush.
