I'm a super sweet lolita but I really love Innocent World. I don't own any pieces from them yet because I keep spending my cash on AP but I know I should just invest in IW instead because their solids are beautiful and timeless. I know I will love them years later.

I love that IW doesn't follow trends and keeps doing it's thing. I love that instead of getting on the $2000 OTT princess dress bandwagon they made their cheaper casual White line instead.

>Do you like Innocent World's style and quality?
I started from loving IW, and now I'm at the point when I'm getting bored.

>Do you prefer IW's more classic-leaning or sweet-leaning pieces?
I like that they are in between, a mix of sweet and classic is my current style.

>Do you have any DDs from Innocent World, or a particular favorite?
Anniversary rose, Rottenburg, Lauretta, Grazia crown.
Out of these, I own only Anniversary rose.

>What is something you would like to see IW improve or change?
Start making pockets (I know they do make them sometimes, but it won't hurt to make them every time they make a dress with side seams, will it?)
Get better or just different fabrics (so tired of their plain polyester, chiffon and strudy cotton).
Make more accessories.

>Do you have any hopes for a specific rerelease? If not, is there a motif/style/theme you would like to see them release in the future?
British theme. Maybe bring back flocked tartan.

Innocent World is my favorite brand. I own my most of my dream prints already. Some favorites are Royal Library, Rabbit Letter, Rose Stained Glass, Lotta, and everything >>10105087 mentioned. I own most of these at least twice. There haven't been much releases as of late that I want to purchase however. I want more simple prints and less rehashes. I miss their flocky prints and embroidery prints.

>>Do you like Innocent World's style and quality?
Yes, and yes. I do own some other brands that I love but IW tops them all, in my opinion.
>>Do you prefer IW's more classic-leaning or sweet-leaning pieces?
Definitely their more classic designs, and I also love their gothic designs. All their nun-styled OPs have found a place in my wardrobe, I adore them.
>>Do you have any DDs from Innocent World, or a particular favorite?
I'm always on the lookout for their solids, and I've especially grown fond of their longer, Victorian inspired designs. Pic related is one of many examples.
>>What is something you would like to see IW improve or change?
I want them to go back to using cotton fabrics and lace again. Poly is convenient in that it doesn't require ironing etc., but it's pretty uncomfortable to wear, especially in warmer climates. All their cotton pieces from before 2010 that I own are far superior to any of their new releases in terms of design, too.
>>Do you have any hopes for a specific rerelease? If not, is there a motif/style/theme you would like to see them release in the future?
Following my previous answer, I hope to see them releasing good basics again. I'm tired of airy chiffon, tulle lace, and other flimsy materials, I'd love to see more cotton blouses, cutsews, lace topped socks, and cotton headbows that are more than just ribbon glued to a headband. I love IW, really, but some of their recent designs make me feel like they're getting lazy and it makes me sad.

>Do you like Innocent World's style and quality?
Yes, I've loved their designs for many many years and they dominate my wardrobe.
>Do you prefer IW's more classic-leaning or sweet-leaning pieces?
It's hard for me to choose, but probably their more classic designs.
>Do you have any DDs from Innocent World, or a particular favorite?
A few of my absolute favorites of theirs are Lauretta Rose, Anniversary Rose, and Rose Panel.
>What is something you would like to see IW improve or change?
I agree with >10105087 that they should start adding pockets consistently. Also, it's kind of petty, but I noticed compared to other brands they never really hold novelty fairs. I think they could make some really beautiful novelty items so I hope they consider it.
>Do you have any hopes for a specific rerelease? If not, is there a motif/style/theme you would like to see them release in the future?
I would love for them to rerelease old school pieces like BtssB does with their classic line. And I am really wishing they will release a full velveteen dress this year.

Maybe some minor trends but not really the way that AP, Baby and Meta (yes Meta) do. I feel like they are true to their vision first and foremost. I feel like a lot of their current pieces could have been made 5-10 years ago as well. Thats why they will probably hold up for decades.

I love my AP to death but I just know I'll feel silly wearing some of my current pieces at 40 outside of tea parties. I feel like I should invest into IW now so that I can continue living the daily lolita life in the future. I just can't stop buying AP now to wear while I still can wear the super sweet ones. For reference I'm in my late 20's and foresee myself wearing sweet into my mid 30s if my taste doesn't change.

80% of my closet consists of IW and I love their look, especially their classic pieces and darker colorways. I'm a daily lolita and their pieces tend to be the easiest to wear on a daily basis in terms of not looking too OTT.
They're not without fault though. Some of their dresses are made of kind of flimsy polyester that makes a dress look more out of place in a classic/gothic coordinate with a lot of heavy, rich material. Their bodices have also always been an issue. I'm sort of busty and have a lot of difference between my bust and waist measurements and the dreaded tube bodice doesn't flatter this often at all. That's why I'm always careful when looking at the cuts, especially their shirred pieces. Surprisingly enough their unshirred dresses, especially OPs, always fit like a charm and look way more flattering on me. I for one adore their tulle lace and think it looks just the right amount of delicate. I love their cotton lace as well but the tulle is often more detailed.
I've got pic related coming in the mail right now.

I know a few people were disappointed at the rerelease of Lauretta Rose being only the tiered version. I visited their Shinjuku shop recently and they had a regular non-tiered version for sale, which they said was a special rerelease. I didn’t see this announced anywhere by IW, but if you’re looking for it it may be worth asking an SS to call or check in store. Lauretta Rose was my DD so I was amazed to find it brand new and bought the one in Shinjuku, but they may have more (since the Osaka store is the head office that may be best to try first).

I can't find any, let alone a good one. I'll probably hold on to it as a fun summer dress, just not for lolita. It's a shame, too, just all that shine.

>> No.10111045

>Do you like Innocent World's style and quality?
I do and most of my wardrobe is from IW, but lately, it seems like their quality is dwindling a little.

>Do you prefer IW's more classic-leaning or sweet-leaning pieces?
I think they do they do classic better.
I appreciate the sweet-classic items though. It's nice for the summer/country coords, and compared to VM/MM and AP, it's a nice medium.

>Do you have any DDs from Innocent World, or a particular favorite?

I'm on a no-buy, but I'd love to own Crown Embroidery in black one day.

>What is something you would like to see IW improve or change?
I wish their bodices weren't unflattering. I just want the bodices to fit like AP's regular waistcuts, but with IW's prints and color palette.

>Do you have any hopes for a specific rerelease? If not, is there a motif/style/theme you would like to see them release in the future?

I'd love to see a much better version of the Peter Rabbit collab. It was so sad. A rerelease of Anniversary Pie and Antique Clock would be cool too.

Damn this is 90% me.

I also feel that their quality has been going down. Just noticed as I'm doing my wardrobe post (because I swear it's going to finish one day!) most of my old IW is lined, whereas most of my new IW is unlined. While I'm cognizant not everything needs to be lined, these particular dresses probably should be as they're synthetic material that doesn't drape all that nicely. It's a pity desu.

>Do you prefer IW's more classic-leaning or sweet-leaning pieces?
Classic leaning pieces.
>Do you have any DDs from Innocent World, or a particular favorite?
I don't have a particular DD, but I like anything pre 2012 in general
>What is something you would like to see IW improve or change?
It seems like they do recyle the same cuts over and over again. Whenever there is an all over floral print, it is either an OP or an underbust JSK. I just want a normal JSK cut that is not ugly. I'd also be nice if they bring back nice lace and trims and floral design OTK socks..
>Do you have any hopes for a specific rerelease? If not, is there a motif/style/theme you would like to see them release in the future?
Lauretta Rose JSK non butchered cut
Antique Pansy JSK
Maple Check OP
Rose Panel JSK
Anniversary Rose JSK
