I like seeing older people cosplay, there is something more pure and wholesome about it.

I know this is obvious, but he would make a great Armstrong.

But I'd love to see more pics of older men cosplaying.

I'm 52, so I'm very old.
Usually cosplay as Indiana Jones, costume is screen accurate (very expensive!)
Want to do Dredd (2012) soon.

This, my CS 1 Professor showed up to class on Halloween wearing a hand-made jedi costume with this warm ass cloak. Before that was my art teacher in senior year of HS. Used any excuse to make costumes and shit (the Star Wars ones were much more high effort. Apparently he got his Anakin cosplay metal hand prop confiscated at the theater premiere for TFA)

Actually, he did Hoenheim instead:
https://worldcosplay.net/member/Overbeck/characters

His specialty is facial hair.

I always wonder why he vanished from facebook and I am not sure if he still cosplays. I was shocked to find he had a worldcosplay account.

I'm a mid-40s fat guy so I mostly do costumes with heavy masks, draping, armor, stilts, and other shit I can hide under.

Its cool seeing my costumes show up on twitter or cgl and no one knowing who did it.

I wish I'd thought of it first, but that mothman costume at Katsu is exactly the sort of thing I love, and I'm working on my own.

don't hate. been doing it for 10 years (actually started at the woodlands when anime matsuri did it there. they did a speed dating one year and one thing led to another).

several girls have confided that many go as a group and try to have as much sex with coplayers (another reason why there isn't any male cosplayers any more showing up at comicpalooza) and get guys (sometimes girls) to buy them stuff.

one girl gave it up for a pikachu cell phone accessory. the most i shelled out was an autograph for john barrowman.

Third for gross and I'm not that far from it.

There was one girl infatuated with one of my costumes and about 9 years my junior, but above 20. I was absolutely floored and the attention got to my head a little, but I still thought 'no no no this ain't right' from the doting. It's shit like that guy that makes the older single guys around younger girls suspect/creepy. Anyways young adults/teenagers are usually annoying and literately alien in most actions.

As a fellow who was on the other side of this, I am going to say very gross.
I went to my first con right out of highschool, I do steampunk and I got uncomfortable attention. Though it might be just because I was a young pretty-boy at a Star-Trek convention.

She was in her 20s and only 9 years younger than you? So you were in your late 20s or your early 30s?How does this compare to a 43 year old dating high schoolers?
When I was in my early 20s I rarely dated anyone less than 9 years older than me, mostly because I didn’t know anyone my age who shared my interests. When I was 24 I dated a 42 year old for 8 months and it didn’t feel weird or fetishy at all. (Now I’m in my late 20s and my current bf is the same age as me.)

google pictures: "cosplay" "gaucho". First picture is me.
My dirt cheap Gaucho cosplay (Argentinian hero from the Batman comics), but hey! Grant Morrison loved it and took a picture with me!
