If you didn't go to both the Otaquest Live and Kickoff, then you unfortunately missed the absolute best concert that has ever happened. Capsule was beyond hype. Nakata's "solo" set was un-fucking-real. He started off mixing Perfume and his own stuff, then Kyary Pamyu Pamyu came out and sang, then Toshiko from Capsule came out and sang, then TeddyLoid came out and sang and then took over DJing - all without skipping a beat. Nakata is fucking based. Shit was they most hype show ever.

Seeing Teddyloid live has been like a fucking dream come true. Got to hear everything I wanted at stupidly high volumes while my body struggled to keep moving. I really can't believe Kyary, Toshiko, and Verbal all came back on stage after how hard they went in on the main show too. Didn't read my whole post. Concentrated amounts of people does not mean the same people have the will to buy or the same amount of buying power. I can tell you a family of 4 will do basically 4 sales in the same time 1 weeb will buy the cheapest thing and a soda. Places where fireworks, park outings, and other shit are happening are a much safer bet to set up shop for sales than this for the 4th of july. For tomorrow, saturday, sunday? AX seems a lot better.

I arrived at 8, it took 30 minutes to park (most of it waiting in traffic outside of the parking structure), and were in line by 8:30. The line already wrapped from the back of the convention center to the very end of south hall. We didn't make it in to the con until 12:45. The lines were directionless and confusing. Cutting (accidental or otherwise) was as common as body odor on a neckbeard. The staff were so helpless that they literally answered a question of "where is this line going?" with "I don't know either".

That being said, once we were inside the con, the fun began.
