It's weird. The only anime con i go to is apparently nowhere to be found this year. Its not confirmed because the site is down, which is alarming too, but i dont think theyve gone bankrupt just yet.

Spanish cons season begins in September and ends around May, summer is really boring here. These are the biggest I know:
>September: Japan Weekend Madrid
>October: Saló del Manga Barcelona
>November: Japan Weekend Valencia
>February: Japan Weekend Madrid (yeah there's two of them)
>March: Japan Weekend Barcelona and FicZone Granada
>April/May: Saló del Còmic Barcelona (this one is more american/european comic themed)
Imho the best of them is FicZone, second place JW Madrid. There are also a lot of small local cons, but most of them aren't really worth a visit. Hope this helps you!

Yup, we're pretty fucked. Last con I'm going to this year is Lisboa Games Week in PT in November then... i'm fucked until May lol.
anime cons was never much of a thing in europe i guess outside of the big thing like japan expo in france or whatever the fuck
big name cosplayers are always american too
