How does Glitter Tale's custom design service exactly work? Has anyone already used this before?

A while ago there were people on cgl saying some of their AP things are made in Myanmar. Afaik AP is the only Japanese lolita brand that outsourced to such far away/questionable places. Other "big" brands like Baby sometimes have things made in China but also still have things made in Japan.

I'm on the fence about buying a solid OP directly from AP Paris, but the acting more like a fast fashion brand than any other Japanese lolita brand is making me not want to. I'm still wondering how true it is that they are made in Myanmar.

I know this is the case in the fashion industry generally, but most items for clothing is sourced through a variety of places. You can get your thread in one country, the fabric in another, it can be sewn in yet another country. The country in question could be the sewing, or it could be the source of the fabric. I don't know how AP and lolita fashion brands in general rate on this scale since it's such a niche fashion.

Whereas this information can easily be tracked with larger fashion houses as well as fast fashion companies like H&M, Forever 21 etc.

I don't really expect lolita fashion to take on all full sustainability practices, as they're not creating garments for the everyday population, but for specific people, and not even all of the people who wear their items wear it as daily wear, rather special occasions or the occasional outing. So I imagine somewhere in the chain from design, material sourcing and production, some costs have to be cut somewhere in order to ensure that releases are constant and the brand stays relevant. Which is why a lot of other brands have been falling to the wayside in recent years, even as Taobao has become so accessible with a variety of decent items. Oh, and there's second-hand sales to consider in there too. When your consumer base has x amount of dollars to spend in a month on the fashion. They may go second-hand, or they may buy directly. (Also plays a factor in our re-releases)

Hoop skirts work well, you pretty much get the same shape. It's a different feeling to wearing a petticoat - closer to having a solid mass swinging around your waist than a series of skirts, but really its fine and still pretty fluid.

You will still need to wear a petti though. It doesn't need to have volume, just needs to prevent the hoop lines from being visible on the skirt, and if you wear the fashion often/daily, they're important to prevent damage from the hoops & skirt rubbing together.

>are there people who actually like blue/special set blue colorways in CDC or those are rather an options for navy one

The three of them are actually different undertones that don't work well together. Navy (kon) is the current standard "navy" that's going around with almost every burando's navy being tuned to this particular shade of "navy". "Blue" (ao) actually has a purplish/pinkish undertone, it's a touch too bright and saturated to really play well with the "navy". Then cerulean (special set) has a greenish kind of undertone and actually lacks the lavender highlights from the other two colours, so it doesn't work well with the other two colourways either. If you're getting a set, I'd say stick precisely to the exact colourway -- either that or strongly filter your pics so the different colourways don't look so different.

I always figured they released ao for those people who are tired of the same old navy, but it worked out very well because my friend and I have different skintones. I do fine with navy, 1/3 of my wardrobe is that colourway (I suspect this is why navy is the most popular, as you can easily mix it with other releases). My friend does much better with lighter colourways so cerulean works much better for her. Blue makes us both look like demons, but there's probably someone out there with skintone that can pull it off, going by how popular it is anyhow.

Honestly I don't think there's any such thing as cucks in lolita. Lolita is about independence and being exquisite in dress, settling for mediocrity or wallowing in it like cuckoldery just isn't compatible with this fashion.

If you were to find a cuck it would have to be a brolita, the chance of finding a female cuck is almost zero in lolita i'm afraid, and if they exist they probably keep their bedroom business a close-guarded secret due to how shocking it would be.

I'm a fat fucking cunt and I'm having trouble finding clothes in my size.
I'm trying to put together a costume for Himiko Toga from BNHA. Since (as expected) no one has any premade costumes for thicc bitches such as myself, I decided it might be a bit easier to piece together regular ass clothes, since toga has a regular ass outfit anyways.
What I need
>beige/tan button up sweater
>sailor outfit shouldar/collar thing
>navy blue pleated skirt
Any tips on how to find this shit in my size? I looked on amazon but most of the skirts I'm seeing don't even come close to my thiccness.

About the sizes, I've made the experience that with unusual proportions and or sizes most size systems don't realy work all that well.
Since in your case it is fat, you may be able to squeeze some of it away to fit into smaller sizes.

>> No.10253776

This may not work quite as well with the nature of the secondhand market or releases that are gone within minutes, but one way to avoid impulse purchases is to give yourself a wait time. When you find a listing for what you want, bookmark it, then close the tab and wait some amount of time, a week is pretty good. Take that time to think about how the piece would fit with your wardrobe, what coords you can put together with what you have, and if this is really something you would wear regularly or if you just like it in a vacuum. After a week, if you're still thinking about it and you still want it, you can decide whether it's worth the price tag, or it wouldn't really work for you.

I made some bows recently and sewed them onto hairties. It's kind of annoying making sure the bow is the correct side up, and it gets in the way a bit when tying the hairtie. I am thinking now it would have been more convenient to have the bow separate on a comb like this and tuck the comb into the hairtie after it has been tied. So I think this would be useful for braids.

Does the fact that JSK versions of lots of sweet dresses go more quickly and are higher priced than OPS mean that the theory/rumor that most sweet lolitas are fatties nowadays is true? Might be better to make a separate thread for this, but just in case this is common knowledge 'round these parts, I'll ask here first:
Are there any go-to suppliers for custom lace and embroidery products, mainly for home textiles (like pillow covers and tablecloths), where I could send in a 2D design and have it produced?
I'm looking both for quality stuff (to use myself and to gift to friends), ideally from Europe since I'm German, and for cheap and barely-not-toxic chinkshit that could be bulk-ordered and mass-produced. (The latter it might be better to ask the taobao and aliexpress generals, I suppose.)

My hair is a little shorter than shoulder length and I got a perm which helps it look a tad thicker, and I think I look alright with that length.
