There are lots of links/forum posts in how to attach rubber soles to a lycra suit, but any way to remove them safely?

Long story short I am doing a spider punk cosplay with my own converse for the shoes, but herostime fucked up and sent me a suit with soles already attached. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove them?

More pictures. The soles are attached from the bottom on the inside, and stitching along the outside to attach the suit to rubber. Would I possibly be able to get away with doing a horizontal slice and make the soles thin enough to fit in my shoes?
