Unrelated to thread, but I was glad to see she was wearing a wig with this coord. She never does anything with her natural hair and it alsways brings down even okay coords.

On topic, I’ve always been nervous to buy brand shoes. How well does the pleather hold up? At least with taobao shoes, if I fuck a pair up it’s not a pain to replace. I currently own 9 pairs of shoes. I’m at the point now where I have a shoe color to match every coord, but I want to get a couple more pairs in black and brown.

I have 3 ruffley mary-janes to use with sweet and classic (black, white, and brown). I don't believe in buying the entire pastel rainbow for sweet, but I may add pink and sax soon. They're all Taobao.

The VM synthetic lining is cracking and flaking but the outside is perfect (have used them for 6 years), Baby wood RHS going strong after 2 years, JetJ are all around perfect after 4 years but the Meta are cracking and flaking a lot after 2. Bought NWT secondhand, the stripper heels.

I have shoes from AP, BABY/AATP, and IW.

They’re all pretty comfortable except my AATP platforms. I take care of my shoes and they’ve been holding up well.

>> No.10366812

My shoe experience has been kind of frustrating:

Taobao (sosic shop) everyday heels - I bought 2 of the same basic style, first in brown then black. Most comfortable and very sturdy.

Taobao (sosic shop) knee-high boots - The high cylinder reveals the shittiness of the pleather. Looks creased and kind of ghetto.

Taobao (?) - The strappy ones with the pearl that everyone has. The fit is way too tight, but they're too cheap to bother reselling. I should re-purchase a size up.

Taobao DreamV design replica faux fur bunny ear sandals - Excellent. adorable. I wish they had more colors in stock.

Normie pair of mary janes in a bright color - I always end up picking a non-normie pair instead.

Demonia platform mary janes - Slightly tight fit, and they don't have half-sizes. Not sure whether to go a full size up.

Liz Lisa booties in two styles - They both fit, but the ones without an ankle zip are a bitch to pull over my heel.

Liz Lisa heels - I bought two different colors of the same style because my normal size was too big. But then the size down is kind of tight.

F.i.n.t rainbooties - I love them. They make me excited for rainy days.

I keep wanting Meta's platform heels, but after being burned by sizing being too big or small, I'm afraid to buy such expensive ones. I know "the sizing is just your foot size in cm", but there's a margin of error, and the LL heels for example were the right size if you measure the part that touches the floor, but because they have a tall heel the part where your foot actually goes is on a diagonal which is longer, if that makes sense.

>> No.10366821

Reposting from the stupid questions thread: Can anybody who has seen Jane Marple shoes (4 strap or otherwise) in real life speak to their quality and sizing? It seems a lot of people find they run large. I have 24 - 24.5 cm so assumed I would be L but it seems like I would fit M.

Also are they worth the price tag?? Even second hand they would probably be the most expensive shoes I have bought. If there are any taobao lookalikes I would get those

off the top of my head I have anywhere from 15-22 pairs of shoes. They're mostly bodyline, with one pair of Queen Bee, a few Secret Shop pairs that aren't totally falling apart, and one pair of Angelic Pretty shoes.

My AP tea parties are almost identical to the secret shop ones, brand shoes really aren't worth it. Out of all of the shoes I have, Bodyline's have held up together the most, I've had most of my Bodyline shoes for over 10+ years.

I actually really hate buying shoes and I don't know why. I feel like no matter how many I own, it's never enough, but I also can't convince myself to buy another pair of black shoes because I don't want to spend money frivolously...and then I see some black shoes that look slightly different and I think wow! I think it has a ton to do with where you live. Most shoes we are looking at are plastic and glued together so if you live in hot places the glue can end up unsticking. If you live in areas that are rainy or cold you may get into an issue with the pleather peeling.

If you only wear your shoes at meets and not transiting/walking there, then they get less worn out. So if you drive to places you arent going to be walking as much as someone who lives in a big city and busses.
