i think the dress isn't OTT enough, it's definitely OTT in the wrong way though. the cut of the dress is super plain given the print it needed some kind of lace or something. the "melty" collar and apron are boring, but they make the overall dress look overdesigned because the print already has melting in it. it just has too many generic themes in the print for it to work together and the intensity of the print doesn't match how boring the rest of the dress is..

For those not in the know, all of the Meta Airlines JSK colors were based off of real airlines. This one is the Easy Jet colorway, and the navy is the Pan Am colorway.

I have it and love it. But they made weird design choices. The green on the buttons jumps out at people and they comment on it, but that’s not the worst. The worst is that the tartan is yellow, black, & bronze but the edging and bow on the beret are navy blue. I guess the navy is from the small bits in the crowns and rosettes, but there’s far more black in the print and it makes sense to coord it with black. But then the head piece has prominent navy. And there not much else that I can find to match it so I’m always stuck wearing the beret and being self conscious about it not matching my coord. I’ve tried (non-destructivly) making a head bow out of the waist ties but it didn’t go well. It’s weird.

I have it and love it but what drives me nuts is that the main colors in the tartan are yellow, black, and bronze but they used navy blue for the edging and bow on the beret. Black is the logical coord choice for me for the dress but then the beret doesn’t match my coord. Very frustrating
