This is what I hate so much about a lot of taobao acessories. I wish they were optional. It seems every other bow, brooch, or pair of bunny ears, etc. has the same cheap plastic pieces hotglued and the colors often don't match.

I don't have a problem with them being similar to the AP ones, there are only so many ways and colors to do bunny ears to match common lolita colorways. The shitty plastic bits just look horribly tacky. Every taobao headpiece has these things. Even chocolate themed stuff will have random plastic cookies, pies, and the shitty bags that say "sweet" tacked on.

Even when not comparing them to AP the poor choice to add those when they contribute nothing makes them look bad.

I’m glad someone said it. I always hated sweet lolita accessories from taobao because they feel not only extremely tacky but a lot of them are really badly made. I had a few and they were falling apart due to how chinese artists like this love to hot glue so much shit together. Casual coord for Japanese Zoom class and shopping with my mum. Blouse is from Bodyline. My backpack (not shown, but it is a giant rabbit) and dress are both from AliExpress. I know it's not the best place to get Lolita, but the dress looked super cute and the print was generic enough to not be a replica of a brand dress...and I can't say no to rabbits. The reviews for it were good too, so I just went for it. It's a weird material, but overall a good dress for the price I paid. It's probably on par with some of Bodyline's cheaper dresses.

In case she reads here: She should try a lantern sleeve blouse where the volume is all at the bottom of the sleeve before the cuff rather than gathered at the shoulder, that might help.
