"Boystyle" is shorthand for "boystyle lolita" and refers to the masculine counterparts of Japanese lolita and, often, aristocrat fashions. There is a lot of overlap between these styles, and different people use different terms to describe them. We usually just use "ouji" here.

Quick review of the Kaneko “August” blouses:

I bought both colors and they’re incredibly well made. This is my first purchase but I will definitely be a repeat customer. I appreciate their commitment to sustainability and it’s definitely a real effort because nothing was wrapped in plastic except a very thin layer of bubble wrap to protect a brooch.

Anyway, the blouses are made of some of the softest fabric I’ve ever touched. It buttons in the back with two jewel-like buttons and it also has a fabric neck tie that you can tie into a bow tie.

It would look best with high waisted pants.

I got my shit extremely fast since I live in NYC - as in, it took 3 days.

Just tried it on (I wore the black one out already, not the off white one yet). It is quite thick. I honestly am not able to see anything underneath unless I wear something very dark and stand directly in natural light or under a bright light.

So maybe wear a vest/overcoat or have an undershirt to avoid any undergarments showing, but otherwise it's quite thick. It's also not a bright white but an off white, which I think helps too.
