No. I don't think AP would ever make a cutsew OP using cotton. It just won't drape nicely like chiffon does. As far as I remember, most AP printed cutsew OPs had chiffon for the skirt part. The only exception that comes to mind is British Bear.

It's not the popularity, and I'm not even into Toy Fantasy. But it being popular did mean a lot of girls post/talk about it, that's how I found out about it, and I just want it because it's darn cute, not because the popular girls have it. Does that make sense? Being popular only provided exposure so that I'm now aware this giraffe exists, it's not an excuse that makes it desirable by itself.

I assume the 2020 surge in interest is due to Toy Fantasy MTO -- probably a lot of girls are looking up old coords and then finding out what the matching set jewellery looked like. well, I'm biased, I think the giraffe is just cute so I think a lot of girls would love it if they saw it.

I own the sax and it's stunning irl. The blue from the first release, which I also owned, was a bit muted and gray-ish imo. The re-release sax is definitely not for anybody not ready to commit to some full blow OTT though, since it'd be tough to coord toned down. The glitter on that color really stands out though.

I think the worst colorways are the special sets. Both of them are really dulled and muted. I owned the pink and saw the purple irl. It just looks weird. I wondered for a long time if maybe those were faulty runs in the fabric manufacturing, since fabric minimums for screen printing (the glitter) are 1500+ meters. The colors are just so off.

I don't know why you want it though, guaranteed everybody will be sick of all the coords come October.

Dunno about this one. Color Scheme Gingham is less likely to get a rerelease than Topping Heart. Topping Heart has the same heart tulle fabric that AP is planning to use for Candy Fairy. With an MTO there's unlimited (or very high limit) slots. ie if 2,476 girls ordered the SC MTO, they all get one plus whatever extras AP orders. With a reservation, there's a limit. Only x number of dresses will be made, so you can try to reserve one of those dresses in advance.

It's the difference between ordering a slice of pizza yourself and saying "AP, please set aside a slice for me."
