Alright, seems to be the only place to ask. GF is willing to try wearing a costume to bed. Right now we've got it narrowed down to either a Supergirl suit (pre-NU52 crop top look) or a Zero suit Samus zentai. Maybe both if I'm good. Not latex or anything fancy, this is more an experiment to start to see if we're both into it.

One thing I would love is for her to stay in costume as long as possible. Including sleeping in as much of it as possible (cape and boots are a no no, but the zentai or skirt/crop-top combo seems like they'd be okay-ish for overnight wear). Barring maybe skank stank, but that won't be a problem for me.

You say that, but I’ve found that my hobbies repulse normies in general, not just girls. Several times when people asked me what I was doing on the weekend, I had to explain to them what a “Dungeons & Dragons” is because they had no idea what I was talking about. Each time they looked at me like a goddamn space alien afterwards. I can’t blame them for not knowing about these things, but it’s exhausting to deal with.

Yeah, don't worry as long as you have good hygiene and aren't completely autismo. It's an anime convention, it's almost guaranteed to have someone more fucked up than you there. Go with friends and just wander around and have fun. If it's a popular convention, you'll wait in line for events you like and you'll end up talking to people around you. You can make friends that way. Don't listen to people focusing about sex, that doesn't happen all the time everywhere. If you're crafty, make or buy a nice cosplay outfit and that can sometimes help make conversation, just don't do it if you're not talented and will look too stupid. There are some low effort suits like shit you just buy on amazon for $40.

Code geass has some really nice clothing, so she may be into it. As for recommendations, it vastly depends on her interests. I think the most recent shows I've watched were both Fruits Basket and Vinland Saga, but they're quite different in terms of style and Vinland isn't really nice in terms of female cosplay inspo. This. Probably about 1/3 of the cosplay girls I know, have degrees and professional jobs. For me personally, I’ll talk about nerd stuff here and there with coworkers if it happens to come up, but I usually try pretty hard to keep my coworkers from knowing that I cosplay.
