I have multiples of Toy Parade, Toy Fantasy, Dream Fantasy, Decoration Dream, Magic Princess, Memorial Cake, Dreamy Baby Room, Dolly Cat, Fancy Paper Dolls, Sweetie Chandelier, and soon to be Sugary Carnival. If the Candy Fairy MTO ever comes out, I'll be owning mutiples of that dress too.

Basically, ever since AP went to shit, I've just been buying more colorways of the same dresses I love.

I’m picky so when I like something I get multiples.

Fantastic Dolly - OPs in red, black, lav. I’d get the other colors too if they came up for a good price, but in the original fabric only.
Cosmetics print - jsks in black and wine (looking for sax!)
French cafe - switching jsks in blue and black. Want the red too, would maybe settle for the OP.
Drained cherry - halter jsk in black and tiered jsk in blue
Dolly dot - OP in lav, jsks in black and wine. Looking for the pink OP or jsk.
Milkshake - Solid skirt in pink, polka dot skirts in red and navy, blouses in black, pink, red, and navy, OP in red. Looking for the solid skirt in black!
Lady Gingham - jsk in red and skirt in black
Charlottes Bear - OPs in blue and black.
Sweet girl room - OPs in black and pink.


Not to mention dresses I don’t currently have multiples of, but would get them if they came up.

I only have Haenuli Librarian Lady in black and ivory right now, but I want another color of AP Mercator Antique Shop and Leif Angelica Library. They all hit me at my actual waist and it's so comfortable.

This is what I have right now, but I’d happily add black and lavender SC to the collection. Same with the Tokyo exclusive Carnival OP, and maybe even the navy TJ jsk. They are all prints I just really love and I don’t have a problem owning multiples, even in the same cut.

Things I don’t have multiples of that I WOULD have multiples of it I could- Twinkle Mermaid, Iron Gate, Silent Moon, Neo Gothic Arch, Cats Tea Party. I love the ones I have and I would happily buy a second (or more) in other colors if I had the opportunity.
I also have doubles of non-print dresses.

Fancy Egg is the print that got me into the fashion, so I can't help but keep getting more of them. Helps that I can typically find it for very cheap.

I own the tuck pleated JSK in green and pink, the re-release JSK in black, and the skirt in black. Still need to find one in sax, preferably in a cut I don't have. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in getting multiples of a print tho lol.

I tend to also buy multiple colorways of everything I like (blouses, jewelry, socks, shoes). I think as some other anons said, I'm both picky, and want to have multiples so I won't have to worry about not having a backup if something gets accidentally ruined.

I don't usually buy multiples for normie items, but jfashion/brand has a lower supply and I guess my dumb hoarder brain kicks in. Every now and then I even buy multiples of the same colorway for old items. I regret nothing.

Tbh if it's both the same cut and colorway multiple times, that just sounds like textbook hoarding to me. Most lolitas already have so much clothes, they barely get to wear all their dresses regulary, so I don't really buy the "back up dress" explanation.

I don't feel as bad for myself as I do, 3 colorways of 2 prints and 2 colorways of 5 prints. At one point I made myself sell dresses that I had two cuts / colorways of. It was nice for making my wardrobe smaller but they're hard to find now.
