If you really want the male gaze upon you, you could cosplay as the RX-105 Ξ Gundam, using Minovsky Flight System integrated upon yourself unlike the RX-104FF Penelope. You could even try to use the colors of the GFF and not the all white used in the anime, it uses more blue in the torso and it is a different shade of white.

You could also carry the Beam Rifle and Shield (that is also a secondary weapon)

So as a man, this is my advice to you. If you are 26 meter tall, I bet you would look great on it, good luck.

If you look a child and want attention just cosplay loli characters or small girls. Gawr Gura is probably the most popular loli right now and her costume isn't lewd. Fans will probably expect you to know inside jokes but as long as you keep quiet and randomly say "a" you'll get some people's day. She might get a lot of cosplayers though, her popularity exploded during lockdowns.
If you want pure sex appeal you can go for Shuten Douji, pretty well-known but she's nearly naked. Will probably have less competition
I suggest not picking something that's popular with children, you'll get less attentions because a bunch of guys will be scared you're actually underage and not approach you.

Depends on the type of nerdy boy you're into.

Megumin might be a good fit for your body type. Any girl from a shounen would work.

Also depends on what kind of attention you want. If you go for more niche characters. The nerds who know who you are will really like it. If you just go for the sluttiest thing you can, then you'll get more attention. But maybe not from the kind of guy you want.

a thotty cosplay will attract coomers. a cosplay for a character you genuinely like will attract people you actually want to talk to. a cosplay that you make will attract makers because they can spot handmade cosplays pretty easily. you can have a cosplay you put effort into that is thotty, but those attract more coomers than makers. and, ofc, there's different levels of thottiness in what you decide to do.

if you want shotgun blast attention (ie. everyone), cosplay some generic waifu that's very popular, like Rem or Zero Two, because they have the most recognition. you probably haven't realized it yet, but a compliment from someone heavily into your character is worth more than 20 compliments from people that don't know your character and are just coomers.

I have two suggestions. A character who used to be really popular, but isn't cosplayed much anymore like Horo, Tohsaka Rin, Yoko Littner, or Haruhi Suzumiya would be good because you'll potentially have that character all to yourself, even at a relatively large event. The second is to cosplay a popular vtuber with a similar body type as you, just not Gawr Gura since she is somewhat common already (saw 4 at Anime Midwest, and zero other vtubers).

Plain is beautiful, the female body is already pretty freaking appealing provided it isn’t horribly mutated by fat or deformities.
