Anyone have reccs for blouses that lean on the cozier/less scratchy side? I currently have several cutsews from AP, but I'm nervous about making a blouse purchase since my skin freaks out with anything starchy/scratchy/itchy/etc.

In my experience, when AP does do cotton, it's extremely comfy. Honestly bodyline cotton blouses are workhorses. Their pearl collar short sleeve blouse is great, but the pearls will fall off. The bunny ear blouse and shirring convertible long and short sleeve blouses are solid too. Sakurada Fawn on taobao has great blouses as well.
If you only want brand brand, I've only ever gotten AP and it really depends on the blouse if it's synthetic and you're sensitive.

Has anyone ever had the print on an older Baby dress bleed for no apparent reason? Happened to me with an OP on an area around the upper arm (but only on one side). It's not sweat and it's not water, I didn't wear anything over it so nothing rubbed the fabric, what on earth could have happened? Is there any way I can fix it at all?

Been in lolita fashion for 4~5 years, still having a hard time getting used to the stares. Funny thing is laughter doesn't really bother me anymore but the eyes still sting more than anything else. How do I just stop caring? I think more than once some normies have taken a picture of me, but I try to view it in a positive light since we're all wearing masks, I don't think anybody can spot me if I wear normie clothes. I know it comes with the territory with sweet (I don't wear ott) but it happens when I'm wearing classic too, it's just not a place where even the concept of alt/street fashion is well known at all.

So as a disclaimer, I don't sweat that much to begin with, but I like Arm and Hammer deodorant (I think it's an antiperspirant too) best. Sure it's not the cutest but I find that with other brands, even the "unscented" ones tend to leave this weird smell and residue which I can't imagine will have good long-term effects on garments coming into contact with it. From the personal shopping experience I had, it took like 2 week-ish honestly. They are a bit slow to pack things up, but I also did order something that they needed to put an order in with the brand for, rather than it come right from the store. So that might have been why it took that long. If it's not in their personal stock/warehouse(if they even have one) then they are probably ordering it from the brand itself.

I have a cutsew from them secondhand and wasn't especially impressed by the quality given their retail price, but the fabric and raschel lace were at least soft and comfortable. I would pay secondhand for them but not retail- liken them to something closer to a larme brand or axes in quality. Also, I was surprised at how large it fit. It was much too big for me, and I'm between a M-L depending on brand. I would be curious to know the quality of their dresses like the one you pictured, though.

>>10666297
Is it red or navy by any chance? Sometimes Baby's older red and navy items will bleed- normally from washing, but I wouldn't be surprised by rub-off bleed either, as that isn't an uncommon thing with dyes. What sort of petticoat would be suitable for a 2007 moitie jsk?

>> No.10670123

>>10670095
Low poof a-line, depending on how short the dress is (there are some very short older motie pieces) you may need to shorten a petticoat or seek out one that's already quite short. If you chose to shorten it yourself, I found it easier to actually shorter it from the top of the petti than the bottom hem. De-poofing a petticoat is a doable alteration too although sometimes an annoying one depending on how it's constructed

I'm a 5'7 woman and a lot of brand is borderline too short on me, while older pieces tend to simply be too short entirely. The average height of an American male is 5'9. Before I find a kimono group to ask I might as well try here.

Does anyone know what decade this might have been made?
It's particularly small (148cm) and a plain but high quality crepe de chine. The lining is hands down the highest quality silk lining I've seen in kimono. It was sold to me simply as antique, and the seller doesn't know enough English to help me out.

It actually isn't.. The pattern is definitely printed onto a plain-weave crepe. That's why it's kinda confusing. My calves hold them up. It's based on how you tie it. If you line it up where the velcro is right on your knees, overlapping and tightened into the shortened part of the underside of your knee from calve then it should stay at least for awhile. It works for me. If i sit then it'll loosen and fall but for standing, you just have to have it tightened between that spot.

It's worth noting that these 'lunch lady arms' are usually loose skin and not actually fat.
