I'm going Saturday. It will be interesting to see what attendance will be like compared to a normal year. They have an attendance cap, but won't say what it is.
Anyways, I'm prepared for this year to be 'meh' at best. Celebrity list is wack, lots of the usual artists and vendors aren't coming, and wearing a mask for hours is going to be kinda annoying. Also who knows how long it will take to get into the building between the vaccine check and normal queue.
Smaller crowds will be nice, but the other things I mentioned outweigh that.

DESU I didn't find the con to be all that fun this year. It wasn't awful, and I don't regret going, but there was nothing about it that made me think "Damn, I'm glad I didn't skip NYCC this year!"

I had to commute home from Penn on Friday night. Thanks to NYCC my train car was shared with a flock of fat fuck zoomer weebs who spent the whole ride getting drunk on twisted tea+limearitas while squealing about anime and making those weird tumblr-ass uwu LGBT jokes at each other
