I think the pictures are just unfortunate. I expect a bit more detail all round for £1800 but they failed to take any good pictures of the bustier embroidery, for example. The skirt is where it falls apart for me. Rose embroidery looks nice but there's just so much... nothing, on the rest of it. Ruffles aren't enough for something that, judging from the styling and pricing, is meant to be a wedding garment.

For the photos of the models, it isn't just O. The lighting and angles for many of their photos would make any otherwise attractive person look weird.

Without the embroidery it’s a boring dress with poorly made ruffles that is relatively cheap to make. The embroidery, which should be what really made the dress desirable, is generic and placed so weirdly, it looks like someone started an embroidery project and gave up in the middle of their work.

Things got extra expensive after 2020 because so many people suddenly got into oldschool/collecting. I've bought otherwise fine pieces with stretched out shirring before and saved a bunch of money because of the damage. It takes 1 hour to replace the elastic and restore the piece to its original size, or the shoulder straps to their original length.

Plus if you tailor things to suit your body or look nicer and more fresh, why would you need to sell? Exceptions exist sure but buy clothes to last and keep.
