mto releases. The more I saw the stock photo with the pink lace on black drew me in. The original had white lace on black with pink accents in the bunny appliqué etc. New version looks more cohesive. The red version looks way christmasy with the pompous. I think black and sax feel less tied to a holiday.

I didn't end up getting it, even though normally I'm all for bunnies. i had a dream that AP back in the sweet golden age released a waffle themed dress but there was an AP-branded stick of butter included in the pockets and it was like a requirement for the stick of butter to be sold with the dress on the secondhand market to preserve the dress' value. and that some girl decided to film a video where she buttered some bread with the AP butter instead of preserving it and everyone got super pissed at her and she had to delete her SM

This is what's bothering me though, because is it not? From what I can tell new releases are being sold second-hand almost immediately (I'm not talking about scalpers, but look at closetchild and wunderwelt) and 10 year old sweet AP dresses are more expensive than ever, even the unpopular prints nobody wanted before, both in China and Japan. There's tons of ISO posts on Xianyu with pretty much every sweet print AP came out with between 2008 and 2012 and Japanese lolitas keep talking about prints that no one looked twice at before being "legendary items", so the question is... Who is actually wearing the shit Angelic Pretty has been releasing for the past 3 years?

Feel like pure shit, just want her back.

>> No.10703262

>>10703231
Same here. Just because something is "trending" doesn't mean it's actually what the customer base wants. I feel like the people buying new releases are mainly girls or collectors who want to own every release. And it doesn't take a lot of people anyways for things to be sold out.
(Or maybe people buy the new releases to fill the void of ~AP~ before actually getting their hands on older sweet pieces.)

The secondhand market is completely barren and has been for months. No one wants to let go of old AP because they see AP is going in a completely different direction. This is what I predicted would happen at the beginning of the sweet boom. I don't think prices will ever really fall back down to 2016 levels.

Though one or two of the top comments were holy lantern and melody toys (which just got another MTO), the vast majority were saying "no strawberries, no holy lanterns, no melody toys, release the old stuff, thank you very much". Maybe with enough of that from the Chinese market we'll finally get some re-releases? They just rereleased strawberry doll so many fucking times and they release new but mediocre strawberry stuff like Royal Crown Berry, Little Bunny Strawberry, etc. The latter of which was popular but isn't as cute as older berry prints.

It's all just excuses. If AP saw enough interest from the West, they would at the very least consider your opinions. It's still better than absolutely nothing.
And I don't think Milky-chan and Milky Planet are going to end up being the most popular. At least that's not the prints JP lolitas are mentioning on Twitter.

They didn't say anything about the online store. They did mention that the quantity is limited and some stores might not get certain colours. I bet if there's leftovers, in the end we'll see them in the online store just the way it recently happened with Fantasic Dolly and Misty Sky.

>> No.10703683

>>10703544
It's leftovers from the Shibuya anniversary anyway so it's nothing exciting. Typically in store special releases and sets don't make it online and if it does it's only a few of that item. I was hoping there would be better items but it's such a boring release it's not worth the train fare to go.

Come to think of it, you're right. 2017 and earlier they didn't appear as often if at all. Toy Fantasy had several store exclusive releases so it might make its way to the online store later.

And even store-limited colourways/cuts often end up in the online store a few days after their release. E.g. the pink version of Moonlight Castle was initially announced as an exclusive for Shibuya and Nagoya stores, but they added it to the online store later.
