The funny thing is that on the 6th of February a SAL package I ordered was shipped and on the 6th it had reached Los Angeles. Can SAL mail move that fast? At this rate I will be receiving my SAL mail package before my air mail package that I was shipped like two weeks before.

Yes I had something similar. After 2 days of being shipped (SAL mail) from China to Oregon, it's in Los Angeles (where customs always is for me). It's been less than two days and I should receive it Monday or Tuesday. Usually SAL takes 3-4 weeks for me. Does your package on the tracking say "Priority Mail" on the left?

For one, just type the name in English letters. Two, the more expensive, the more chance it has of being real, but remember China's infamous for fakes. Three, I highly doubt you'll get anything like that through customs in the first place.

World-known name brands are pretty much the one thing everyone can agree on avoiding, because there's a high chance it'll get confiscated and destroyed by customs anyway.

If small orders fit SAL requirements (the upper limit, I'm not sure what it is), then it's worthwhile. Really large orders will save in shipping if there are lots of heavy items being shipped at once rather than in individual smaller orders.

Well I hate to advertise them, let's call it a tip instead. But Milanoo is having a pretty nice sale on Infanta and other Taobao stuff, and I'm pretty certain it's not cheap knock offs or anything. I've been checking Clobba/Qutieland/etc and it seems to be cheaper than them (at least the dress I got is). It also includes a free petticoat, which is like, shit why the fuck not even if it might be shitty. The price difference varies from piece to piece. I checked the KL reserves they have up and there is only a 2 dollar different (it was less than 5 at least) but on one of these suface spell dresses it's a 20 dollar difference. Granted, take into account SS fees and what not. So some of the pieces are very expensive and some aren't. The thing you have to remember about Clobba is they buy stock right as it comes out, so if something is out of stock that you love and isn't up on second hand sales on taobao, then you have that one last option to go to Clobba.

I've had a couple pairs of Antaina shoes and a couple pairs of Secret Shop shoes and the Antaina shoes got fucked up really fast because of how they were made and the Secret Shop ones are still fine. It's not like Secret Shop makes the best shoes ever, they just don't get fucked up easily and look better to start with, too.
