Something I've always kind of wondered... What kind of music do you listen to, my dear lolitas? Classical? Jazz? Folk? J-pop?

>> No.6680169

Symphonic metal and classic (mainly Wagner operas).
My favorite band is Therion.

Anything but black music

>> No.6680196

Indie hipster shit.

>> No.6680200

Electro, witch house, trap, hip hop.

>> No.6680205

mostly an kind of rock or metal? sometimes pop punk. FFDP, Closure in Moscow, Otep, Flyleaf, Incubus... You get the idea.

On occasion I listen to pop singers like Imogen Heap, Lily Allen, Ellie Goulding, Florence+The Machine, etc.

>> No.6680206

I like a lot of different type of music, but mainly really niche stuff. Dark stuff.
I love Those Poor Bastards. They're southern-style gothic country. Nick Cave's whole career, The Birthday Party in particular. Leak Bros, which is PCP inspired rap. RA, Ill Bill. Don't know how white people make the best rap, they just do. Some softer stuff, Peter Blood, Modest Mouse, Dresden Dolls. Sometime I crave metal, Strapping Young Lad, Cradle of Filth, Sleep.
I like bands that give off a cynical, sarcastic vibe, and don't take themselves to seriously.

>> No.6680225

Ranges. Jpop, dark crap, classical, punk shit, tango, etc. anything but rap.
Katzenjammer Kabarett, Perfume(jp), Voltaire, Astor Piazzola, An Cafe, The Cure, etc.

Same here, symphonic/power metal, classical, and soundtracks for me. Plus a little EDM and classic rock thrown in for variety.

Favorite bands are Blind Guardian and Sonata Arctica.

Do you also like Tristania, Aesma Daeva and Draconian as well?

>> No.6680263

House music, dubstep, underground rap, whatever style of rock Nirvana is considered, older rock, general trippy music, classical when I'm with the fiancé. My taste is all over the place

>> No.6680275

industrial, ebm, darkwave, and occasionally witchouse and symphonic metal.

>> No.6680287

OP here, you guys have a wide variety of tastes, I didn't expect anything less.
I'll dump a few of my favorites:
modest mouse, ogre you asshole, Del Barber, Dan Mangan, The Pogues, Northcote, Hey Rosetta! and anything that's folk-y!
I grew up with my family loving classic rock, so I'm a huge fan of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Guess Who, The Beatles (obligatory) Simon and Garfunkle, Prism, and Rush. I also recently went to a Tragically Hip concert with my mom and I bawled my eyes out the entire show.
I'm also a sucker for Perfume and May'n and Fonogenico. I love pretty girls

>> No.6680291

Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Ray (some of her stuff, not all), Florence + The Machine, Go Periscope, Silversun Pickups, Metric, Wolshiem.

Sometimes I get in the mood for The White Ties, Kill Hannah, Owl City, LIGHTS.

When I'm driving I listen to Top 40 stations, but at home it's almost always my Pandora stations.

>> No.6680302

A lot of indie/singer-songwriter stuff and 90's music.

Also the Beatles, broadway musicals, bollywood soundtracks, opera, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Dir en Grey, Malice Mizer, Olivia Lufkin, The Good Natured, Elisa Toffoli, Hanggai, Xie Tianxiao, Kiwi (mongolian band), Hystoic Vein, Hurts, Cradle of Filth, Kimbra, Lady Gaga, Nightwish, Gordon Lightfoot, Nova Heart, and I have random moments where I like to dance to crappy top 20 stuff.

What is denpa anyway? Every time I ask all I get is "it's too deep/complex 4 u, you'll never understand".

>> No.6680488

I try to have movies/music with the same aesthetic/general feel as the source material, but I usually just end up watching whatever Blackadder season is closest.
