I think that it is awesome. I was fortunate enough to snag a piece off of the USA site and a pair of tight from the international release (thanks to the gorgeous ladies who were on CGL at the time) but many of my friends were left angry, frustrated, disappointed, and without any pretty ponies to show for their- literally- tireless efforts.

I was one who was saying all along that I like how JetJ does their preorders and wished that AP would follow suit- at leas for a huge release like this. I have no intention of reselling the pieces I got so I don't care if I can't scalp it.

The only ones who lose from a made to order release are the scalpers.

I hope they take reservations for accessories as well as main pieces.

Ok, my opinion on re-release: I think it's a good move! However I won't really know exactly how I feel 100% until I see the details because it sounds really flimsy right now. I did manage to get the dress I wanted (minus accessories) but I wouldn't mind another design or colorway!

I think they got so much hate from the Japanese customers due to just limited stock (who knows though, I know they were complaining about someone 'china-man' buying up a lot of stuff with friends??) that they felt cornered because this probably was the worst feedback they've gotten on a release ever.

Gloria was too sudden (wasn't promoted for months like DDC) to get this kind of hate because I think it would have been literally a fraction of the same audience that knew about it compared to DDC even though the stock was obviously less than DDC.

On the other hand, the customer is not always right and setting a precedent that AP will bow down if there's enough complaints (Whether they be founded or not) isn't the best decision a business should make, imo.

Old AP pieces are amazing for this. I bought a couple of blouses and skirts that didn't have prints for under 4kyen each. They were all looking a bit limp and sad, so I gave them a gentle handwash, pressed and starched all of the lace and bows and they were good as new. Sold one of the skirts for a $50 profit. Also, I like that AP is doing a made-to-oder rerelease, even if it's just for their Japanese customers. It seems like in situations like these, they can't win. I am 5'8" AND HOLY SHIT THE TIGHTS FIT.
I do have thin legs though so your mileage may very.
And god this is the first ap jsk I have owned that the adjustable straps had a button hole that was LONG ENOUGH FOR MY TORSO HOLY SHIT BEST DRESS EVER.
I DID NOT THINK THEY DELIVERED SHIT ON SATURDAY ANYMORE? Has that not kicked in yet?
Oh well don't care excited as fuck.

How to reserve through one of the shops
During the above mentioned time period, you can reserve at any of the shops in Japan.
There is no limit to how many pieces one person may reserve.
Since these are make-to-order items, we require full payment upfront.

For customers who reserve via phone, please come to the store within the reservation acceptance period and make payment, or send your payment via registered mail (except for the Shinjuku store).

Concerning the delivery time
You can specify the specific time slot you want your items to be delivered.

Concerning cancellations
If payment cannot be confirmed within the allotted time period, your order will be cancelled. Since this is a make-to-order reservation, cancellations, color or style changes, and returns/exchanges will all be refused. If by any chance, a cancellation is requested after payment has been made, we cannot give refunds. Also, if you cancel, there is a chance that you may be banned from making any reservations in the future.

Important points concerning make-to-order
Once the items you ordered come in, we will get in contact with you via phone (or email, in the case of the online shop). The period of delivery is just a rough estimation, so there may be some changes. Concerning the nature of the print, there may be some slight color changes from the first release, so please understand.

There will not be a waiting list.
