I saw a Meta dress on ebay a long time ago and I've never seen it again anywhere..even on archive sites.
The only thing I remember about it very clearly is that it was a lacy one piece dress and that the skirt was a gradient blue.(it went from white on top to darker blue at the bottom) and It didn't have a print to it.

For all I know it might not have been a Meta dress at all but does anyone have any idea what this might be if it's an actual brand dress?

Gathered Chiffon in any dark colorway is a dream dress of mine, and for some reason the white colorway dominates the resale market. So I'm kinda wanting to run around the house screaming.

I love so many dresses in this style but I can't help but be irked by the collar part that looks like the top part of the blouse. Before I got into lolita, it was a pet peeve of mine to see clothes that gave the illusion of layers but really just had the necessary parts sewn in, such as a jumper that had dress shirt cuffs and collar sewn in to give the illusion of wearing both a dress shirt and a jumper. This kind of dress makes me ambivalent because it certainly is a blouse style at the top but it's not trying to give the illusion of having a blouse underneath the dress because of the lace. It simply emulates the aesthetic. If I just got over this pet peeve I could have so many dresses that I love.

The Iris colorway is actually my favorite as well! I agree with it being almost impossible to match the purple, although I've actually seen it done! One girl on d_l had a handmade shirt that matched perfectly.

It's really up to you! If you're a lolita that participates frequently in meets, it might be better to bulk up your wardrobe first so you don't constantly repeat your look (although, they really aren't even going to notice)

However, if your dream dress is hard to obtain, go for it! I kicked myself so hard for letting my dream dress go and I only see it on the comms once in awhile for exorbitant prices, so don't make the same mistake as I.

I got this on reserve also. It is one of the most phenomenal dresses I have ever seen/ worn and is one of the queens of my wardrobe (I love it more than my Puppet Circus- which I adore to bits).
I laugh at anyone who thought that the velour would be tacky because it is classy as fuck.

It was never a skirt. One girl pulled it sown and wore it as one but IMO it looked like crap. It has a tube top and an elasticated waist. Some thought it wouldn't be flattering due to the full shirring, but since it is the underbust that is shirred and not the actual bust area it really flatters.
