I ordered the Krad Lanretes jellyfish JSK from Taobao Spree about 1-2 months ago and It is my first lolita purchase ever, so I'm a little nervous that the seller hasn't received it/sent it even though they say they will ship it out once they DO receive it. And they told me that I had to pay 30 MORE dollars for the shipping besides the 160 that I already paid. Is this a normal transaction for buying lolita products form middle men? Thanks~

Are you really this new?

You *reserved* that dress and did so during the second/extended reservation period, meaning that your dress would be made in the second batch. So yes, it's going to take a while.
The shipping you'll be paying is the shipping of the item from the shopping service (Taobaospree, apparently) to you. This is totally normal.

Since that was an easy question, KL/Jellyfish general thread? Has anyone in the west received their dress yet?

I ordered it from TBS (Susan) and got an email from her recently saying that not even all of the first batches have been sent out yet, so I'm expecting it to be another few months till I get my lovely navy OP. Which is great - as much as I'd like to have it now, I have time for all of the other pieces of my coords to come in. Here's hoping for a frilly Christmas present!

I'm also already looking waaaay forward to the (hopeful) re-release so I can pick up an aqua JSK. I was originally going for an aqua OP, but changed my mind last minute when ordering. Don't regret it, but definitely want to add it to my wardrobe too.

Ok, this is a bit of a stupid question and kind of off-topic, but I'm asking it anyways. How is Krad Lanrete supposed to be pronounced? I always thought it was plain and simple Krad Lan-REET, but I've also heard it pronounced Krad Lan-REH-teh.

Idk I guess this is related because when I get my Jellyfish I really don't want to seem like a huge idiot when I talk about it with other and mispronounce the brand's name...

i fortunately picked up a navy blue ruffly chiffon blouse in my last taobao order (before i even thought about getting the jellyfish JSK, lol), so as long as the navys match i'm going to use that.

as for accessories, no clue. any suggestions for this kind of thing? i'm not really a loli and will just be wearing this as a nice dress, though i do have a nice petticoat that should provide decent poof.

I think it's because the waist just isn't defined as cleanly as it maybe could be? Maybe some corset lacing or something would have made it look nicer. That being said, I'd hardly call that pregnant looking.

I'm busty myself, and lengthening JSK straps helps a ton, but I'm not sure what you'd do for an op. you'd have to add length and the bottom of the bodice or something. I wish you luck though, I like that print a lot too.

idk how you're gonna get it altered but you definitely want to get the bust area checked out. the way the buttons divide your boolboaf you just look like you have two boobloafs, which definitely does not flatter how the shape of the skirt makes you look even pudgier.

I have the dark short OP but when they mailed me back to say that actually, there was no more headpieces left even though I'd bought one, I just sort of stopped giving a fuck.

843RMB (Long JSK price from KL's shop) + 20% commission (168RMB) = 1011RMB (165.83USD)

14USD left over for Domestic shipping and paypal fees/currency conversion/storeenvy listing (I don't know if they charge for listings though) doesn't seem really out of this world or anything.

If you're seeing it on ebay for less than the actual taobao shop's list price, then it's a scam.
