There are a few I regret selling, but I most regret selling this. It was a dream dress and I splurged and paid around $550. It wasn't super flattering and I was in need of money so I sold it but I only managed to get $400 for it despite so many people saying they want it. The only person who could commit to buy had to do a payment plan, too. About 6 months later, someone sells it (not sure if it was the girl I sold it to or not, possibly) and it goes for over $850 on auction. I wanted to buy it back again but this kills me, I can't bring myself to pay over $500 for it again.

i'm fairly new-only one year in- to lolita and i went to the mall today in normal clothing and had 2 different vendors still ask me my age and were surprised i wasn't younger. All the bodyline pieces that I pined over ever since I started lolita. I believe I have acquired all of the ones I wanted but now I don't know what to do with them. Ever since I got a few pieces of brand, what I thought was at one time "good quality" just seems cheap. I have to work extra hard with bodyline just so they look presentable whereas with brand I can still look good in simple coords. Maybe this is more of a love/hate thing.

I think you just have to find your own style and balance anon. You can try classic/sweet, either toning down whatever sweet stuff you already have or trying out a sweeter-printed classic dress. Not everyone has the "face" for all three styles so just wear what you want!

Bodyline's quality is always my biggest regret. Once bought a jacket, thinking it's gonna be fine for autumn - turned out it was just a single layer of fabric, no thicker than for a skirt. Not even lined. Sold it for cheap just to get rid of it.

But so much regrets of buying shit from Bodyline that looked nice in the picture but was complete shit when it arrived.
I sold that off quite quickly.
Same goes for some items from Taobao.

All of the nice stuff from brand and taobao I kept though, and I will probably never sell it off.
Never sold anything with regrets either but almost did once.
People really wanted to buy those things, then realised I wanted to keep it, so I told them it was already sold.
I'm still a bit ashamed about that actually.

This blouse, and the other bodyline blouse I bought. The sleeves on this one are huge, I was unaware since I bought before a worn picture. It's alright quality, except for the buttons, 2 came to me broken from shipment, since they're so cheap.

I also bought a deer fur collar from etsy, but when it arrived, what I received was clearly inferior to the stock image. I got a refund and got to keep the item, but now it's kind of tainted.

I am almost to the point where I'm done buying anything but brand. Although my few taobao purchases have been wonderful.

This fucking hat. I bought it direct from AP USA for $71. The fur was shedding from the fabric as soon as I took it out of the package. The tail is sewn on poorly; I could take it off easily with a little tug. The ribbon on the ear has an unclean edge. This was my first brand hat, are they all this overpriced for such poor quality? I've gotten much better hats off brand for a fraction of the price. AP, you have failed me greatly.

Then I bought quite a bit of gothic stuff and while I think I look pretty good in it I'm really regretting the switch. I miss all my prints that I can't get back anymore for less than retail. I didn't regret it at first, but I recently bought a dream dress on an impulse with my Christmas money. I told my boyfriend a bit before I made my decision I was considering it and he scoffed at the price, and later after starting a payment plan and sending my first payment he mentions it again (not knowing I'd already paid an installment) saying something along the lines of "if you buy that dress I will be VERY angry and not let you off the hook" and I just feel sooo guilty now. Strawberry Parlour skirt in yellow... Loved the print, found it on LSE for 100$, and it was my first brand purchase. So if you're going for all black prints, you'll still probably need accessories to match the prints themselves, which you should find something to match a black colorway that will match your strawberry parlour print.

Personally, I've bought set of accessories/tights/blouses to match a certain dress or print because I love that item

The underbust is a hard sell because it has zero give in the sizing and it only fits very small girls. Sad, because I think it is the prettiest version.
