I think Arda's Inigo or Magnum long in your choice of blonde would work very well with proper styling. Even cutting up a cheap long wig to the right length is better.

Yeah, because she's a hair stylist. She would always make underhanded comments about how unhealthy my hair was. She knew i enjoyed making plushes, and asked if I wanted to make Hambo. Out of the midtiers Saccharinesylph clearly had the blog hardest to navigate if you were looking for cosplay. I was really surprised at the low amount of shots in their cosplay tag considering the fact that they were supposedly an active mid-tier persona and would personally demote or remove them.

I don't know if we settled on a policy but when I went through the blogs there were a few things I looked at, namely:

>Organization
>Finished shoots
>Progress shots
>Cosplay help
>Quality

As long as a cosplayer had three or more costumes over the course of a year (that's really not a lot of costumes if you provide progress updates), all those factors were more important.

Yaexrae doesn't have a lot of cosplays per year, but frequently outputs progress, help and has one of the best organized blogs. Kitty-maru on the other hand had a lot of cosplays of average to good quality but not a lot of cosplay help (at least not easily found on their blog).

There were some anons requesting strict tier segments and a minimum of six or seven high quality cosplays a year. That just isn't reasonable in my opinion, especially for the higher tiers where you also need to retain a certain quality. At the same time Seclusionsalad and Hammasratas were both held back due to a low amount of cosplays, so it is also a matter of proving yourself.

It was revamped in that that we removed a bunch of names (Murtunacaptor being one of them), demoted a bunch (Dersedreamer, Harshwhimsical etc) and added a few (Seclusionsalad). Hammasratas were already on the list as far as I can remember and Fromgilbowithawesome were added later on. As usual, Snowchilhero was brought up but was left on because the complaints were the same as always. Ceriene was discussed but since their stance on potentional future Homestuck cosplay was unclear they were left on. Dei-sandvich and Kisbe were bumped up if I remember correctly. This was when I went through the list in March.

For makeup and contouring, you can easily look up "How to contour/highlight" and find a decent tutorial. I learned how to do mine by watching female to male makeup and stuff like that.

As for the wig, I highly recommend Arda Wigs. They sell very high quality wigs and their descriptions are detailed enough to where you'll know what you're doing. I used a Hansel for my Karkat wig and the back is slightly wavy, but it was pretty much a perfect length spike wise. The only downfall was that the bangs curled inward and I had put too much gel in them, so during a meetup they pretty much cut into my forehead the whole day.

I can definitely give styling and wig tips if you'd like though!

I can back up everything this anon said.

Rika hates thumbcramps (gt!ms paint) because she's friends w/ durrscurr. 2 of our ohayo roommates were good friends with her and everytime they talked about being excited to see her rika would screech and be like "DONT SAY THAT NAME SHE DISGUSTS ME" eventually they told her to stfu b/c TC was their friend.

Alayna (person who made Mindfang dress) was really pretentious, she was in the Katsu room. She's really fat and wears cosplays that show off her stretchmarked cleavage as much as possible. she cosplays disciple and was bragging about how she dragged the wig on the floor and let her cats play with it to give it 'realistic tangles' uhm wut.

Rika and durrscurr were never dating but she was constantly trying to force it (ie climb all over him, get lackies to constantly say how cute they would be as a couple). He had been working on breaking ties with her way before he even met his gf. So she's still lying which is nothing new lol.

Perhaps I came off a bit ruder than I intended. It's not terrible, certainly. You put much more effort into it than most. And while I understand wanting to make a wig look canon, going that route can make it look a little /too/ cartoony when you stay as exact as possible to a reference.
In your case (from what I can see) the two huge spikes eat up a lot of the top of the wig, and as a result your bangs look thin and very even like there's a dividing line between them and the rest of the styling. He does have specific spikes, but I'd try to throw in a few smaller ones around the two bigger ones and covering the obvious bangs-top hair divide with some to make it look a bit more layered and less strict, if that makes sense.
If you're happy with it, then good! I'm not saying to give up. I'm saying there's things you still need to polish. Sorry if I initially came off as harsh, I was very tired.

Now for some tips of my own:
>Tacky Glue for the ends of spikes to hold them together
>Got 2 B Glued Hairspray to hold spikes up (a little goes a long way. try to avoid drenching the wig in the product or it will look like plastic)
>Use your scissors pointing upwards instead of straight across cutting to feather things more and get a more accurate shape with less chance of mistakes.
