Since I've never have one of those following me around I will just post a short one I found

"I was walking around the dealers room with a friend dressed as Fang from Final Fantasy 13 and a guy stopped her for a photo. I politely moved out the way so he could do so and he didn’t so much as glance my way as he moved on.

I went to talk to my friend again and he suddenly came back, he sort of stood there and looked me up and down with a smirk then frowned and asked me in a huffy voice.

"Are you SUPOSSED to be Virgo?"

I was kind of taken back at his rudeness and replied yes and smiled not wanting to be rude back. He laughed looked me up and down one more time and then walked on."

awkwardly, and with much grimace, but as politely as possible.

If he persisted we would have moved locations and possibly have tried to find security/a staff member. Luckily it didn't come to that.

This was at a con ~7 years ago but it was the worst creeper experience I've had. I wasn't really bothered back then because I was still convinced all anime fans were great, amazing, wonderful people but now I look back and cringe at how I handled that. Freaking pedo.

This happened yesterday, not the creepiest of creep stories but I felt pretty uncomfortable.

They didn't look particularly creepy from what I saw? I actually don't even know if they were a dude or chick. They had a small build with long black hair.

If someone tried talking to me and it made me uncomfortable I'd probably just drop my spaghetti and walk away. That doesn't really make them a creeper though.

You really can't help but stare at people at those places. And it's not even in a perverted way, it's kind of like "is that girl being walked around on a leash?". Looking back on it I wonder if I was being a creeper, I was pretty much gawking alot of the time

The whole thing was kind of weird, all the girls seemed cock starved which was pretty cool though

2nd obvious answer is that attractive men ARE creepy pretty frequently. Have you never been/seen women been hit on by otherwise decent looking frat bros? It's disgusting. I've had very attractive men ask me very awkward questions and it catches me offguard but it doesn't make it less creepy and want to get away as soon as possible. I've also seen very good looking men described by many cosplay women as "creepy" and after meeting them I understood why
So the real answer is it's a retarded false dichotomy invented by neckbeards to explain away their own social failures as being the fault of an invented phenomenon they have no control over, therefore it's not really their fault.

Also, it's more of an ego boost to be "wanted" by a hot person because they can afford to have higher standards than ugly people. It makes you feel better, like "hey this hot person thinks I'm hot, I must be hot" but when a person you perceive to be uglier than you does it, you want none of that shit because either a) it puts you in the same league as them or b) you feel violated by their ugliness.

Also, being pretty does require some effort. Not necessarily a lot, but the thin person with a clean face and coordinatedish clothing looks a lot more put-together in general than a fat, greasy whalebeast in poorly-fitting, stained vidya/anime tees and cargo shorts.

I remember one time I was cosplaying Panty with a friend cosplaying Stocking, and our not-cosplaying friend was hanging around us that day. At some point these two fat guys asked for a photo with us and we were happy to oblige. Afterwards one of them approached me, looked me up and down and complimented my cosplay, then left. Then our not-cosplaying friend came up to me, angry as fuck, and was saying stuff like "Oh my God, I cannot BELIEVE that guy. Did you SEE that? How fucking creepy. I should kick his ass."
And I was just like "Dude, he didn't do anything- it's fine." He was just checking me out and complimenting me, I didn't see a problem with it at all. Some people are just way too fucking uptight and paranoid.

It's exactly like that. I have worked in entertainment with some of the most egotistical people you will ever meet and the ones that go furthest will never ever make comments like this. It's always the girls and guys that try and show off with their selective acceptance that are shot down quickly and end up stuck in casting couch limbo for as long as it takes their dreams to die.

I was a manchild creeper autist for years until I started reading up on self help books, reading body language, things to do in social situations (things like "thin k like a gentleman), and realizing I was a complete slob and slowly fixing it. The biggest problem with feminism really is that the women who support it are often middle class and have lived relatively sheltered lives. They are terrified of rape particularly in the form of non-consensual sex perpetuated by passive aggressive nerds because it's the only conceivable crime that would ever happen to them. They don't live in areas where worse shit happens.

Notice they don't point the finger at wigger thugs or racially profile blacks as being potential rapists, they instead pick the basically harmless white straight 'nice guy' fedora image because these are the types of boys they will have been exposed to - other middle class, slightly under-achieving college kids (particularly 4channers) who spout internet memes. They haven't grown up in neighborhoods where a bullet in the head or a knife in the chest is what you worry about when you step out of your door. They act like they invented 'keys between the fingers' and are horrified that they feel they have to do this just once when for many of us, it has just been a natural part of growing up.

A guy on his own holding his dick out is the ideal situation to be in if you're going to be in any trouble. You can run from a single person with a boner, you can stab it, kick it and hurt it. I can't run from a drive by, pepper spray and activist signal boosts aren't going to help me when Al Caprawn and his posse want to let out some aggression and cut me open when I'm just trying to get from A to B. I'm not saying 4chan is any better, because it really isn't with the whole 'tfw no gf' alpha/beta shit but all of the above is largely reflective of the tumblr mindset as a whole; people who consider the biggest problems in the world to be that they're scared to come out as gay to their parents, instead of being scared of walking out of the door with an off-pink shirt because 'gay clothes' are a death sentence on the streets. I think this person means that going to a convention with the ronery mindset is a bad idea.

I've gone to conventions on my own and I can spot the singles so easily, they look depressed and lonely. There are no doubt shitloads more, but you wouldn't recognize them because they're making friends and taking part in groups.

Long story short, go to conventions for their sole purpose and let the rest of the shit fall in place. If you look, you don't find because you always end up looking desperate even in your body language.

Just remember life isn't about getting girlfriends/boyfriends. If you stand there trying to pick ones out you'll always make compromise of some kind, but if you just live your life one will slot in like that tetris piece you've been waiting for.

Pretty sappy shit from me right there, but it's true. Don't drag everyone else down with your feelios because you're only scuppering your own chances anyway.
