Dear Janitors and Mods, here me out

While /soc is great if you want to find hookups in your local area, I don't. While a successful cosplay/Lolita friend board is possible on /soc on the whole you also have to deal with people who have no interest in either subjects.

Please dear, based Janitor and Mod, please allow this to thrive and continue and don't drip your mighty ban hammer. I just want some cosplay friends without having to deal with everyone else on /soc

I wear a pretty good mix of styles, though I'm leaning more towards gothic lately.

I'm also interested in music, larp, culture, outdoorsy shit, books, and films.

I'm mostly looking food a nerdy friend to hang out with when I get to Idaho in January. I used to live there and I'm moving back soon.

I'm not really looking for loud, energetic people, I'm fairly introverted and get easily overwhelmed because of anxiety. I do get talkative with the right people though, don't get me wrong, I just don't want someone super touchy who wants to go clubbing all the time. (As if Boise has many clubs) I do like concerts though and am fairly diverse in music tastes. I'm turning 21 in November and am waiting on a military separation. I like comics and manga but I got out of the loop for a while and am just getting back into it. I'm nice and unjudgemental too, so don't worry about seeming too much like a weaboo.

I think it's more awkward to make small talk with people you contact out of the blue/don't meet organically. It's also harder to do so electronically, as it's not super easy to get a feel for that person's personality or sense of humor. I know that I'm always worried I'll offend someone, as my sense of humor is somewhat crass and more than a little snarky.
