Ugh GLW in general is pretty awful. I remember when I was a wig newfag, and my third(?) wig was from their other store Cosplay Wigs USA because Arda wasn't really well known, and I wanted a wig with fast shipping.

Never again.

That thing was so hard to style, was so shiny, and it was just a basic black wig. My best friend unfortunately bought her first wig from GLW (pic related), and straight out of the bag it had a huge knot in the front where it was supposed to be nicely teased. Like this thing was massive, and pretty much impossible to comb out.

I wished she'd gotten the other wig she was looking at between the two, but she was so settled on that one...

I disagree. Racism is a general concept that can't necessarily be directed towards a specific group of people, it's just the belief that a biological category known as "race" even exists (hint: it doesn't, ethnicity does though).

Racist people are also usually prejudiced though, which is what people usually mean when they call something "racist". It's possible to be prejudiced against white people or any other race.

White people, however, are not discriminated against in most parts of the Western world, so you can say it's impossible to discriminate against white people if you're living in America like I presume most people who talk about this are.

Yeah see this is where you're wrong, like I said most anthropologists and biologists agree that race doesn't exist and thus the technical definition of a "racist" is someone who believes it does.

You can be prejudiced against white people, which is what you mean here when you say "discriminate", but white people aren't actually discriminated against in most Western cultures.

However, in my current schooling we are told the THE current agreement for sociology regarding the definition of racism is that you cannot be racist against a race that has not been suppressed. This definition is mainly for, as I think of them, the "less educated" portion of the human race (which is the majority). Racism is definitely alive and well, sadly, so they have this standard of definition to keep some clear boundaries within a concept that, while it doesn't actually exist, needs meaning to define.

You can't be discriminatory if you're part of the minority or whatever that's being oppressed, but you can certainly be prejudiced and racist. Racism itself isn't something you can be towards people though, it's just a belief system that, more often than not, leads to prejudices and discriminatory practices.

The mix-up when it comes to what all these words mean though is why people get so confused and angry about the question of whether you can be racist towards white people or not. You can't be racist *towards* anyone though, only prejudiced as a result of racist beliefs.

I remember I bought a wig from them 2 years ago from when they had the Empress Collection. That wig was straight up Ebay quality fiber. Scalp showed in the back and the fibers just fell out of the damn thing. It shed so much.
